Sydney Stick Fighting We teach Filipino Weapons Martial Arts in both classes and private lessons in Sydney City & Suburbs.

𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐅𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 trains in Weapons Martial Arts, especially the Filipino Weapons Martial Arts of 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬, 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚, 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞. Blunt force weaponry, pointed/edged weapons and Barehanded training is included at Sydney Stick Fighting.

𝐁𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐮𝐦𝐚, self defence training weapons includes training with, rattan Escrima sticks/batons, 6 foot bo/staff, 5 foot jo, two handed sword/bokken, baseball bats and palm sticks.

𝐄𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬 self defences are also taught, with training knife/vs, machete/s
and axe/s.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 is based for classes in 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤, 𝐒𝐲𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 and several different Arnis/Escrima Schools methods or systems are taught here at Sydney Stick Fighting. One system is the Duelling System of the 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐤 𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬/𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚, from the GM Teofilo Velez and GM Jose Villasin lineage of Cebu City. There are several aspects of the 𝐃𝐨𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐬 taught here at Sydney Stick Fighting, from GM Cacoy Cañete, GM Victor Cagadas and GM Celso Mabalhin.

𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢, a Herada/Sumbrada/Cyclica, close quarter System of Instruction from Floro Quebec an ex-Manila Police Officer, ex-Malacañang Security Officer (Filipino Presidential Security), ex-Los Angeles, California Police Officer, ex-Parole officer at Salinas Valley State Prison, Soledad State Prison, Correctional Training Facility (CTF), commonly referenced as Soledad State Prison, is taught as well.

𝐀𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐬, 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚, 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢, 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞 are only a small number of the many names that are given to the Filipino stick based martial arts.

𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝? The beginner is taught with a stick but the movements of most styles can be translated to various conditions of armed or unarmed combat. The stick is a weapon but also it can be simply an extension of the hand and a training tool.
