WELL DONE! 💙
The Volunteer of the Month for September, goes to Julie McSwiggan from Rupertswood Basketball Club.
For around 15 years, Julie has been a valued and dedicated member of the Rupertswood Basketball Club family. She first became involved when her two sons started playing and has continued to give her time and support ever since.
Julie has served as Club Secretary for around 10 years and, more recently, also as the Child Welfare Officer. She is someone the club can rely on, always approaching situations calmly and with the best interests of the club and its members at heart.
Julie also puts her hand up for grant applications, helps polish club documents and is always willing to assist wherever needed - often quietly behind the scenes.
When asked why she volunteers, her response was simple: “I just wanted to help out.”
That pretty much sums her up. She doesn’t seek recognition; she simply sees something that needs doing and gets on with it.
Thank you, Julie, for your years of dedication, care and service to Rupo Basketball Club. We truly appreciate everything you do.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR AUGUST REFEREE OF THE MONTH!
Grace continues to impress with her fantastic attitude and work ethic. Her ability to take on feedback, implement it into her refereeing and continually look for ways to improve has been outstanding.
She is always willing to put the team first, regularly stepping up to help when needed and picking up extra games to support her fellow officials and the wider referee program.
