The ladies are heading down to Roxburgh to play in their last game of the season! The lions last met the magpies in round five at their home ground and are seeking revenge and a win for their last game, let’s get a good crowd around to support these girls and celebrate the season!

Milestone Game - Matilda Thomas - 50 Games 💙🤍

This weekend we celebrate another fantastic milestone as Matilda "Tilly" Thomas runs out for her 50th game.

Having previously played with West Footscray and Maribyrnong Park, Tilly has become an integral part of the Sunbury Lions Women's program. Since joining the club, she has brought passion, determination and an infectious energy that has made her a valued member of our playing group.

If there's one thing everyone knows about Tilly, it's that you'll always hear her before you see her! Whether she's encouraging her teammates, directing traffic on the field or celebrating a great piece of play, her voice carries from one end of the ground to the other and embodies the spirit and enthusiasm she brings every week.

Respected by her teammates and coaches alike, Tilly's commitment, competitive nature and unwavering support for those around her make her an important part of the Lions family.

Milestone Game - Mia Bergamasco - 50 Games 💙🤍

This weekend we proudly celebrate Mia's 50th game in the blue and white. A fantastic milestone and one that reflects her commitment and dedication to the Sunbury Lions.

A true Lion through and through, Bergs has come through the ranks at Sunbury, beginning her journey with our Under 18 Youth Girls program before progressing into the Senior Women's team. Watching her develop into the player she is today has been a pleasure for everyone at the club.

Known as the quiet achiever, Mia lets her football do the talking. She consistently gives her all for the team, works hard, and leads by example with her determination and selfless attitude.

Much loved by her teammates, coaches and everyone around the club, Mia's positive presence and team-first approach make her an invaluable part of the Lions family.

Congratulations on reaching your 50-game milestone, Mia! We can't wait to see what the next 50 games have in store. 💙🤍🦁

🦁 Senior Women's Football Coach Wanted 🦁

The Sunbury Lions Football Netball Club is seeking an experienced and passionate coach to lead our Senior Women's Football Team from Season 2027 and beyond.

If you're passionate about developing female footballers, creating a positive team environment and making a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you!

Round 13 💙🤍

It's Round 13 and we head down the Calder to take on Keilor Park Football Club, who are sitting comfortably in 4th position.

The women are excited for the challenge and eager to see just how much they have improved since their last meeting earlier this season. After a tough result the first time around, the group has continued to grow, develop, and work hard every week, and they are ready to test themselves again.

With only two games remaining in the season, we now look to focusing on finishing out the season well and planning for the 2027 season. We would love to see as many Lions supporters as possible make the trip and cheer us on.
