The Hervey Bay Jnr round saw some impressive scores on saturday. Mark winning the day with an outstanding 1181 out of a possible 1200. Great work Mark 👏 , and well done to everyone who shot as most archers ended the day with a PB. A big shout out to the winner of the lucky door prize for donating the prize to Digby, he was very excited. It was good to see a few of our injured crew at the shoot as well, your support for those competing was appreciated.

A small crew for the silver arrow field yesterday, with many members injured or sick this week. Mark taking out the honours, Tracy got the lucky door prize, and congratulations to Baz for competing his first field course.

The 3D fun shoot is cancelled, members are welcome to have a practice shoot day instead. Wide Bay Archers are having a 3D shoot Saturday if interested, please contact Malcolm for details.

Blustery wind made today's 144 silver arrow target shoot a bit challenging at times, but we managed to have a good day and grouped well. Hopefully our team scores have us in the running for a win/place against the other SQAS clubs. Frankie taking out the honours today and Mark bagging the lucky door prize.

A great turn out for the Foster Memorial Cup yesterday. A very enjoyable shoot with Mark taking out the honours. Shot of the day went to Oscar with a Robin Hood. It was good to see Frankie, Martin, and Chloe back on the shooting line. Brien taking out the lucky door prize this week.

The Foster Memorial is on Saturday - 1pm start. Lunch will be provided depending on numbers. Please register on Archers Diary by Tuesday night for catering purposes.

As you may be aware we have had a record number of entries for the National and SQAS Indoor Championships at MPB which has required us to move to 3 flights to accommodate everyone

Archers in Flights 2 and 3, please note that there will be NO access to the indoor hall until the preceding flight has finished. Your sign in, warm up and equipment inspection will be outdoors on the main field.

Current target and flight allocations can be found on the SQAS website https://archerysqas.org.au/latest-news/ Target allocations may still be subject to change so please check on arrival

Many thanks to Hervey Bay RSL for the grant to purchase 4 new target butts, we are very grateful for their generosity and support of our club. The butts are now attached to new light weight aluminium frames reducing the potential for injury to our members when moving the targets, and look fantastic. Thank you to everyone involved with the grant and new frames particularly Tony for making the frames and John for the signage.
