Our women’s team is a key part of our club and one of our most successful teams at the club.

Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Women’s Head Coach who is eager to take our team to the next level. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the game, a history of effective team management, and the ability to inspire and develop players of all skill levels.

Qualification/Certification: World Rugby Level 2 coaching accreditation or Equivalent/Willing to gain this accreditation

Responsibilities
Develop Training Programs: Design and implement comprehensive training sessions focused on skill development, strategy, and team cohesion.
Game Preparation: Formulate game plans, conduct video analysis, and lead team meetings to ensure optimal performance.
Player Development: Mentor and support players in their personal and athletic growth, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Community Engagement: Actively engage with the community and support club events to promote women’s rugby at the grassroots level.
Experience: Previous coaching experience at a competitive level, preferably within women’s rugby.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of athletes.
Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with players, club members, and the community.

We’re thrilled to welcome Susie Maroney OAM, an Australian former marathon swimmer and true trailblazer. In 1997, aged just 22, she became the first woman and only the second person to swim the 180 km Florida Strait from Cuba to the United States in a shark cage. The following year, she swam a record 197 km from Mexico to Cuba—the longest open-sea distance completed without flippers at the time. Join us at the Noosa Long Lunch to hear her incredible story!
