🎣 Queensland Freshwater Fishing Tournaments ROUND 5 TEAMS – CLARENCE RIVER WRAP-UP 🎣
Well, that’s the Clarence River round done and dusted!
Friday’s pre-fish was wet, but we managed to find some fish close to Grafton and were feeling pretty good heading into the weekend.
Unfortunately, Saturday morning the river had other ideas! What was clean water quickly turned into a brown soup. We managed to land one legal-size bass during the morning session, along with plenty of undersized fish, which is great to see and shows the river system is thriving. 👌🎣
Saturday afternoon, the wind picked up with the outgoing tide, making conditions pretty unpleasant, with some big swells rolling through the river. We decided to call it early rather than push our luck.
Sunday morning, we decided to have one last crack and put the boat to the test with a big run downstream in search of some fresh, clean water.
With a great boat and a strong engine behind us, we had an absolute ball giving the Marine Care Qld Yamaha 150 SHO a good workout! 🚤💨 Sometimes you’ve just got to enjoy the ride!
Despite the rain, dirty water and challenging conditions, we still had an awesome weekend and plenty of laughs along the way. That’s what it’s all about!
