Well me managed to walk away with a 3rd place here at Wivenhoe! Lots of fish around but was hard to get them to eat with the water clarity but managed to get a few!

The Decoy ball head style jig heads have been awesome on the Australian Smallies, they stayed sticky sharp all tournament!

Congrats to Steve Morgan Fishing for taking out the win this event, he definitely kept well ahead of the field both days!

Well we walked away with a 2nd place so can’t complain, will be making sure fish care is a bit better for the next one! We weighed in the biggest bag every day by at least 1kg but the dead fish killed us in the end!

The jig heads were absolutely flawless all tournament, caught around 20 bass a day and have had the same hook on all tournament - still deadly sharp!

Time to give them hell here at Wivenhoe and see if we can get some big bass in the boat!

Well day 1 of the event on Lake Somerset and had a pretty awesome day. Weighed the ABT record bag for 5 Bass of 13.9kg’s or 30.6 pounds, however had a fish die after they released meaning that fishes weight got deducted off the score… not ideal but all we can is catch them the same tomorrow and keep them alive!!

Fun little morning out doing a shoot for Samaki with the new Zing RS combos and a few of the new lures! The Toga were smashing this new SF70 in Pearl perch, some epic footage!

On the road to Lake Somerset now getting ready for the Australian Bass Tournaments Bass Pro series at Somerset and Wivenhoe next week! Stacked field of good anglers in these s hopefully we can find a few good ones

Bit of a late wrap up as we’ve been flat out at work but we come away with a 5th place at the comp on the weekend! The new LVS 44 was something else for finding fish out far. We ran our range about 150ft out and could see Barra easily and electric over to them! The clarity of the lure out far was epic and was a big player for us keeping off the fish. We caught almost 20 fish over the two sessions with countless 108’s that we just had to keep throwing back! Can’t believe how many fish are getting around the lake

Pretty cool to see Lee and Craig grab some cash in their first comp with at 4th place! Not gonna hear the end of that one… 😂

Also big congrats to the Flukamundi boys .isaacs03 and for taking yet another win this year! These boys are unstoppable at the moment, pretty excited to see what they do later this year in the Barra Tour

Comparing the Garmin Marine LVS 44 with the ever reliable LVS 44

What do you think?

Is this not the best part? Nothing better than watching the animals swim away

The LVS34 in Forward View is the deal when these big freshwater giants live deep during the winter!

What a way to wrap up the Samaki Saltwater Barra Open! Coming into the event and I knew this one was going to be very challenging and didn’t think this would be the outcome! Crazy to see the amount of big healthy fish on this system, just have to come across the right fish and the right time and wild things can happen… special place!

The Live Shrimp 165mm in Leader Prawn was the only lure we got bit on for the 4 days fishing, new favourite saltwater lure! Looking forward to learning this saltwater side, got a lot to learn.

Crazy that got the full tournament on film so you will be able to see all the emotions that we went through in a few months. Looking forward to the final product
