The SCGS Red (Year 4 & Under) and Orange (Year 5 & Under) teams competed in the Tennis QLD Primary Schools Cup during the Brisbane International. After 2 days of great experiences and lots of tennis, our Red Ball Team (Alfie, Chase, Jax, Tyler, Edward, Hamish, Parker, Thomas & Xavier) came first in the State Finals.

After some great wins against Brisbane and Gold Coast schools, our Orange Ball team (Frederique Oliver, Harvey, Felix & Rafferty) made it through to Final against the other Sunshine Coast team Our Lady of the Rosary School. The Final was a tie on both sets and games, requiring a deciding doubles tiebreaker to be played. The OLR team, that included Grammar Tennis players Tommy and Henry, came away with the win in what was very memorable event.

Congratulations to the 70+ Grammar Tennis players that competed in the Regional and State Finals, and thank-you to Tennis Queensland for organising such a great event.
