Jake Killeen | Sunshine Coast Golf Coach • PGA & Dom Azzopardi Golf Academy present a unique Flow Performance experience for golfers who want to take their game to the next level.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Rick Sessinghaus - longtime mental performance coach to Collin Morikawa, will join us via Zoom to share insights from their work together and his experience coaching at the highest level of professional golf.

You’ll put these concepts into practice with Flow Performance | Golf Mental Game co-founder Hallam Morgan, using FocusCalm EEG technology to explore your mental state and how it relates to your performance.

YOU’LL LEARN HOW TO:

‣ Recognise your performance state: Understand how your mental state can influence your ability to execute shots.

‣ Build a reliable pre-shot routine: Develop a repeatable process to help you commit to each shot.

‣ Reset after mistakes: Learn strategies to move on from poor shots instead of carrying frustration into the next one.

‣ Manage pressure: Explore practical techniques to help you stay composed when the outcome matters.

‣ Improve focus and awareness: Develop a better understanding of where your attention goes and how to bring it back to the task at hand.

‣ Apply it on the course: Take your new strategies straight onto the range and begin developing routines you can use in competition or your next weekend round.

This is about more than learning mental performance theory. It’s about understanding yourself as a golfer and developing practical tools you can take into every round.

FOR PLAYERS WHO:

‣ Struggle to take their range performance onto the course.
‣ Lose confidence after a bad shot or find it difficult to reset.
‣ Feel nervous or rushed under pressure.
‣ Want more consistent pre-shot routines and better focus.
‣ Are interested in understanding how their mind and body influence performance.
‣ Want practical strategies for when it matters most.

This is what two sessions can change.

Technically, we’ve made some massive shifts, but we’ve kept the changes simple and practical enough to take onto the course straight away.

The movement can change quickly. Making it feel natural takes reps, time and good practice.

That’s the ongoing development → where the real progress is made.

Great first sessions Dane.

Real confidence isn’t hoping you’ll hit a good shot.

Confidence is knowing your game, knowing your pattern, and standing over the ball trusting what you’re about to do.

In 3 sessions we built confidence back where it matters>> on the course.

We built a more repeatable pattern, then took it out of the lesson environment and put it under pressure where it counts.

Ultimately the goal isn’t to build a swing that only works on the range. It’s to build a game you can trust when it counts.

Darren is now heading back to HongKong confident with the path we’re on and will continue working together online.

If you’re serious about your game, let’s get to work.

How to go from cut to draw in an hour:

Set up change - weight target side 60/40

Grip tension - baseball grip to more connected grip and tension release

Pressure shift will happen naturally so dont force the shift back to front (stay solid in your pivot)

Intention - visualise the shot shape and execute focusing on start line and flight

Feel - create more lag and a faster swing by “swinging” the club head (more wrist hinge through our the swing.) related to tension

Great first session Darren.

How to stop over-hinging in your backswing.

Too much wrist hinge in the backswing can make it harder to control the clubface and often contributes to a steeper move in transition.

Creating more width and reducing excessive wrist action can give you better control of the club and help create a more efficient sequence into the downswing.

Here we’re using the Swing Guide to help reinforce that feel and give immediate feedback.

A simple change that can make the swing much easier to control.

Nice work Rob.

Building structure into the swing.

Brodie’s grip and arms were too relaxed, making it harder to control the club and swing arc.

We worked on creating more grip pressure and structure through the arms, helping him better control where the club returns to the ground, after the ball with an iron.

It’s not about making the exact same swing every time. It’s about creating enough structure to make the outcome more repeatable.

Back to the fundamentals and building from there.
