Every little and large athlete deserves a physio day. Acupuncture allowed great muscle release to enable improved quality of movement and ease of mobilisation.

Acupuncture is a great way of releasing muscle spasm and reducing pain and dysfunction prior to reactivating muscles through appropriate physiotherapeutic exercises.

Hi all, just an update to say that I have recommenced my small animal physio clinics following my maternity leave.
I plan to recommence equine treatments towards the end of this year.

Using a ttouch facial wrap technique to help with a facial paralysis and to desensitise an already head shy thoroughbred. Notice the droop of the nostril and lip on the left side 1 week post injury. The injury in this case was the horse hitting his head in the float causing local nerve damage.

His testimonial:"My IVDD Journey" aka Life's a bitch 'cause my back is killing me!
By Denton

I had my 2nd visit to see my lovely Physio Nicky this morning. Personally I can't see what all the fuss is about as I get carried everywhere, even to the toilet and breaky and dinner in bed :-). My only complaint is those metal bars she put around my bed, like hellloooooo Chrissy, as if I am going anywhere in a hurry!

Dr Nicky sat me up on a high table and she physio'd me till my eyes rolled back in my head, gawd it felt good. I heard her say she was doing strengthening exercises or something like that. I didn't mind as Julie was playing with my ears.

She then placed some needles in my back, I didn't feel a thing as it's kinda numb down there, she turned them a few times and then I felt very relaxed and the tension in my back just seemed to disappear.

Nicky then did lots of little stretches and exercises until I felt very tired. Apparently Chrissy has do to little exercises with me three times a day and I am so lucky as I get to see Nicky once again this Friday.
