GEOQUEST… WHAT COMES NEXT?

After 25 years, it’s time to have a conversation about the future of GeoQuest.

The 2026 race marked the end of GeoQuest in its current format…but does that mean the end of GeoQuest? We don’t think it has to.

Should GeoQuest continue?

Should it remain 48 hours?

Should it move to a new region?

Supported, unsupported or both?

BYO kayaks? Ocean paddling?

We want to hear from the Australian adventure racing community before we decide what comes next.

We’ve put together a super-short survey. It’ll take just a couple of minutes, and whether you’ve raced GeoQuest before or simply want to race it one day, we’d love your input.

Wild Women Adventure Race: Provisional Results Are Live! 🗺️✨
What a day, what a race, and what an incredible bunch of women!

The provisional results have just been posted over on our website, so head on over, and if anything looks a little off or you think we missed something, send us a message or email and let us know!

Highlights from the Wildest Course Yet:
Pink Inflatables & River Jumps: Imagine what the town of Yandina thought seeing a sea of women dressed in pink with inflatables running down the main street—only to immediately start jumping in the river!

Toughest & Wildest Yet: Event Directors Jan and Kim said this was our toughest and wildest course yet, but look at how all you amazing women just took it completely in your stride.

True to the Name: Did you know the Indigenous name for Yandina means "to go on foot"? That is exactly what the wild women did - exploring some of the spectacular creek lines and even small waterfalls in the Cooloolabin section of Mapleton National Park and on mountain bike too!

Crossing That Finish Line: How good was it to finally cross that finish line after 6 hours of epic adventure? We are so, so proud of every single one of you. We know you earnt that 'woodfired pizza' afterwards!

Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers who were out there just as long, we would not be able to put on such an event without every one of you!
