Two cracking contests lit up Caloundra this week!

🔥 Cali-Kings v Royal Punjab
The Kings stayed unbeaten, grinding out a hard-fought 11-run victory. Will Carlile’s explosive 77 (32)* was the difference, while Isaac Cottrell’s 4/22 ensured Royal Punjab’s chase fell just short despite strong knocks from Singh and Idrees.

⭐ Legends v Good as Gold
Good as Gold were clinical with both bat and ball, claiming a 7-wicket win to strengthen their push for the top 2. Barry Bester stole the show with a rapid 39 (13) and 3/17, while Jean Luc Talbot iced the chase with 30 off 10 rocks.

🏏 CCL Juniors – Round 5 Match Summary

What a finish in Round 5! This clash went right down to the wire, with the Combined Schools IX chasing hard and sealing victory on the second last ball of the match.

Needing 13 runs off the final over, the pressure was on — but Rutherford and Trace held their nerve, guiding their side home in dramatic fashion.

With this win, Grammar and Combined Schools IX have officially locked in their places in the Grand Final. Flinders’ 2025 CCL campaign comes to an end — thank you for the spirit and fight all season, and we hope to see you back in 2026.

🏏 SENIOR CCL – ROUND 4 WRAP! 🌴
A big week of action at Caloundra Cricket Club despite some wet weather interruptions.

Royal Punjab picked up their first win of the season with a commanding 54-run victory over the Legends. Sunny Singh was superb with an unbeaten 66 from 46 balls, well supported by Bikram Kumar’s 33* off 16. Lawson Pohle fought hard for the Legends with 58, but the chase fell short.

The second match of the round between Cali-Kings and Good As Gold was unfortunately abandoned due to rain.

📊 Updated Ladder: Cali-Kings remain on top, Good As Gold sit second, while Royal Punjab climb off the bottom after their win.

🔥 JUNIOR CCL – ROUND 3 THRILLER! 🔥
A nail-biter under lights at Roy Henzell Oval saw Grammar Cricket edge out Sunshine Coast Combined Schools (SCGS) by just 4 runs in a cracking 100-ball contest! 💥

SC Grammar set 7/122 on the board with solid efforts from L Fielding (20*) and H Roper (18*). Some tidy bowling from H Colmer and D Cox made the scoring hard! In response, Combined Schools fought hard with J Trace (24*) and B Scott (17*), but fell just short at 4/118. H Roper backed up his efforts with the bat with an excellent spell bowling the penultimate over for just 3 runs and a wicket! M Bloomfield was at his miserly best with just 10 runs coming from his 15 balls.

🏆 SC Grammar def. Combined Schools IX by 4 runs
That win keeps Grammar undefeated at the top of the Junior CCL ladder!
