What: Middle-distance Beach Run, Surf Swim, Board Paddle and/or Ski Paddle (do one or all events). The distance varies with age. Swim (500m - 2km), Board (1km - 6km, Run (2-4km), Ski (6-12km)

Who: U11 thru to 70yrs+

When: Saturday 26th September 2026

Where: Broadbeach SLSC

Feels early to us too, but it’s time to start thinking about summer sports 😅
Sign ons will open August 1, two MONTHS before our season starts on October 11.

We will provide sign up information on the 1st.

By thinking about nippers now, means you can prepare your nipper for their swim assessments BEFORE our pool swims in September. Remember, nippers is not a learn to swim program, so if your child needs help in that area, start practicing now!

Parents- we have lots of great water courses coming up for YOU too! Come get your SRC or bronze medallion and help with water safety this season. DM for info, or keep your eyes peeled for more dates.

Finally- remember the Qld government offers their Play On! Vouchers for the new fiscal year on 27 July. You can use the voucher to pay for your nipper in our program 😉 https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/sports/funding/playon

Congratulations to Steve Shipman (Shippy) for being awarded the Sunshine Coast Clive Hammond OAM Award at the Sunshine Coast Awards of Excellence this evening.

We all know the Shippy does a ton for our surf lifesaving club, and it’s great to see this recognised beyond our club walls. From coaching, to patrol captain, to grant writing, to gear steward - Shippy goes above and beyond in so many ways👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🙌🙌🙌

The Clive Hammond Medal recognises individuals who have made an outstanding and special contribution to the development and/or well-being of his/her Club or Branch.

We are looking for nipper sponsors for our 2026-2027 season now as our rashie orders for next year need to be in by the middle of the month.

We are hoping that you or someone you know might be interested in signing up for sponsorship for this season.

Our nipper sponsors get their logos on our pink rashies for the new order for the season (please note we will continue to sell out prior year shirts as well).

$1,000 is our standard sponsorship price or $2,000 for a featured sponsor which includes a larger logo and additional highlighting on our socials.

We will continue to highlight our sponsors with an individual sponsor day and invite our sponsors to join us for a nipper morning so you can have a bacon and egg with us and we can thank you in front of our nippers.
