A huge Congratulations is in order for Brodee!

It has just been announced that she will be making her AFLW debut when the GIANTS take on the Western Bulldogs for their first home game and celebrate Pride Round at Henson Park at 5.10pm

Brodee is a tough and speedy midfielder and forward who has a reputation for being a strong tackler and being able to hunt the ball well around the contest.

Brodee was one of the best performing players in the AFL Sydney competition in 2021 and was a member of the Allies squad. The GIANTS selected Brodee at pick 55 in the most recent Draft.

We encourage everyone to attend and show your support for Brodee

How the Southern Power continue to grow women's footy in Sydney - Aussie Rules Draft Central 16/09/2021

⚡Southern Power Women's Building for 2022 ⚡

With attention now turning to a, hopefully normal, season in 2022, Southern Power Women's AFL continue to go from strength to strength.

The ladies have done a tremendous job in establishing the highly successful Southern Power Youth Girls program, which has acted as a fruitful pathway into senior footy.

With Women's footy growing in popularity year-on-year, the club proudly names two stars who have made the highest level in the AFLW - Kristy De Pellegrini and Brodee Mowbray both representing GWS Giants. With further expansion of the league to incorporate all 18 AFL clubs, look out for future stars Kiara Beesley, Ruby Sargent-Wilson and Kyla Tracey among others to potentially reach the highest level too.

The club looks forward to seeing the 'favourites' reach new heights in 2022, with hopefully some premiership success.

How the Southern Power continue to grow women's footy in Sydney - Aussie Rules Draft Central THE Southern Power boast a strong women’s football program that they have been building every year since their inaugural season in 2010. The Power are from the Sutherland Shire and they play in AFL Sydney’s competition. They have focused on their youth program in recent years, which now has thre...

When our super Power nurse Kelly Chan was challenged by our El Presidente Mel Ciraolo that if she raised $1000 for the Blackdog Institute - UNSW- Prince of Wales Hospital that she would have to have a mullet….well Kelly exceeded this goal and today we got to witness the creation of the best mullet in all the land.

Well done Kel on raising $1600 and creating awareness of mental health especially in this climate 👏👏

Science. Compassion. Action

1 in 5 of us will experience symptoms of mental illness in any given year. In Australia that’s around 5 million people. And roughly 60% of these people won’t seek help.
