What an amazing day we had yesterday for the World Cup Watch-along at Club on East Sutherland !!! WINNERS 🏆

Our club really brought the vibe to the event yesterday, with so many members from across the whole club showing up and getting their green and gold on.

Thank you to everyone who attended, it was a fabulous event!

This week, our Rover of the week is Phoebe from our W18Bs. Phoebe played her own match on Saturday, and backed it up by playing a very early game on Sunday for our All Age Women's team.

Phoebe had a fantastic game despite being tired from her own game, and impressed many with her ability and team spirit.

Supporting our fellow teams is a huge part of what make Rovers great, and Phoebe was an example of this! Thanks Phoebe!!!

Special mention to Kathleen from the W40Cs who displayed a similar Rovers spirit and filled in for the W40As before playing in her own game on Sunday!

Sutherland Shire Council has CLOSED fields for Saturday 30 May and Sunday 31st May.

As a result, all MiniRoos and Competition fixtures will be RESCHEDULED.

Saturday Round 9 fixtures will now be played on:

📅 Monday 8 June (June Long Weekend)
⚽ MiniRoos Fixtures
⚽ Competition Fixtures
meaning U6-U18 will play both Saturday 6th and Monday 8th of the June Long Weekend.

All Sunday Round 9 Fixtures will be Rescheduled to Sunday 21st June (weather pending)

Our amazing U8s are top pick for Rover of the Week. These kids braved the weather to show their team pride at the Sutherland Sharks game last weekend.

They behaved with integrity and had fun, and were amazing representatives of our club, and the high standards we are known for.

Thank you to them and their parents and caregivers for being such brilliant ambassadors for the Rovers!

There are so many ways to volunteer. There is so much that has to be done behind the scenes that most people are not aware even happens.

Enter Joe. The registrar who makes sure our players are approved to play. He's also the gadget fixing tech extraordinaire, the person fixing stuff and upgrading things that we don't even realise need to be sorted.

At the ground, Joe is the first to lend a hand, and can often be seen supporting other teams when they need a spare set of helping hands!
