KPD (Kincumber Pacific Dolphins)

🏊‍♀️🐬 KPD AT NSW SENIOR STATE AGE SC CHAMPIONSHIPS 🐬🏊‍♂️

A fantastic three days of racing for our Kincumber Pacific Dolphins at the NSW Senior State Age Short Course Championships, with plenty to celebrate across the team!

🏅 MEDAL TALLY – 6 MEDALS
🥇 3 Gold | 🥈 2 Silver | 🥉 1 Bronze
⭐ 25 TOP 10 FINISHES

A huge meet from Summer Klein, who came away with an incredible five medals —
Gold in the 100 Fly MC and 50 Breast MC,
Silver in the 100 Breast MC and 50 Back MC, and
Bronze in the 50 Fly MC.

Alex Foreman also stood on top of the podium with a brilliant Gold in the 200 Back, swimming 1:56.87.
Alex added another Top 10 with 8th in the 50 Back.

There were plenty more Top 10 performances across the weekend.
Sophie Collison finished 4th in the 50 Breast, 5th in the 100 Breast and 6th in the 200 Breast.
Patrick Dwyer had a very consistent meet with Top 10s in all of his MC events — 4th in the 100 Breast, 4th in the 50 Breast, 6th in the 200 IM, 8th in the 50 Fly, 8th in the 50 Back and 9th in the 50 Free.

Ellis Hazelton finished 5th in the 100 Fly MC, 6th in the 50 Fly MC and 8th in the 100 Back MC.

Elizabeth Bennett picked up two Top 10s with 10th in both the 50 Fly MC and 100 Free MC

Lachlan Bunney finished 10th in the 200 Fly.

🔥 Our biggest PBs included:
Elizabeth Bennet - 2.65 sec PB 50 Freestyle

Ellis Hazelton – 2.98 sec PB, 100 Back

Patrick Dwyer – 1.38 sec PB, 200 IM MC

👏 A special mention to Lucas Agafonoff, who stepped up for a great 100m Breaststroke, racing in a strong 14–15 year field. Plenty more to come from Lucas!

Also representing KPD across the weekend were Mitchell Benson, who finished with a PB in the 50 Back, and Beau Melohn, who also produced a PB in the 50 Free.

From our medal winners and Top 10 finishers to those gaining valuable racing experience at this level, every swimmer who represented KPD contributed to a great weekend for our club.

Congratulations to all of our KPD swimmers recognised in the 2025–2026 Pho3nix Junior Excellence (JX) Program across Gold, Silver, Bronze and Blue levels.
The JX Program recognises swimmers aged 9–13 who achieve nationally benchmarked performance standards and inspires the next generation of competitive swimmers as they develop on their swimming journey.
We are incredibly proud of every swimmer for their dedication, hard work and commitment to the sport. Achieving a JX award is a fantastic accomplishment and reflects countless hours of training, racing and perseverance in the pool.
A huge congratulations also to our coaches and families who support these swimmers every step of the way. We can't wait to see what the future holds for this talented group of Dolphins! 💙💛🐬
