David Hurley named as Australia's next governor-general Retired General David Hurley will replace current governor-general Peter Cosgrove when the latter's five-year term as the Queen's representative in Australia comes to an end in March next year.

Looking for your fix of wheelchair rugby? The Australian 2018 GIO Wheelchair Rugby National Championship begins tomorrow 5th October at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre.
If you can’t make it live, it will be live-streamed online to both Disability Sports Australia and Wheelchair Rugby Australia’s pages. You can also view all the matches online at wheelchairrugby.com.au.

The 2018 GIO Wheelchair Rugby National Championship brings the sport’s biggest stars to Western Sydney this weekend! A host of Australian Steelers Wheelchair Rugby players will be turning out for their respective state teams after claiming a World Championship Silver Medal, with the Australian Invictus Games team also featuring in the Championship.
See one of the world’s most entertaining full-contact sports LIVE at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre from Friday 5 October to Sunday 7 October. Entry to the venue is FREE, so get your friends and family together and come along for a weekend of thrilling viewing, intense competition and high-collision sport!
