Click the link below for the interview:

The Rugby League Players Association plays an integral part , NOT just in the future and well being of Rugby League players, BUT, in the future of the game of Rugby League.

THAT wasn’t always the case ! There was a time when Rugby League players had NO say, not just in the future of the game, but in their own personal future’s.

That was, until one player came along and said ; “ It just wasn’t right, and I set out to change it”.

PARIS – FRANCE – April 1931.

In an office at 24 Drouot Street in the Montmarte district a group of men have gathered and are involved in passionate conversation.

Its been an unusually warm spring in France and Parisian’s are out in the cafes and bars listening to the songs of Lucienne Boyer, whilst discussing the politics of Pierre Laval and the fashions of Coco Chanel.

But the men who have gathered at 24 Drouot Street , amongst them Jean Galia and Victor Breyer, are not here to discuss music, politics or fashion. They’re here to discuss a dream they have.

91 years later, the dream they spoke of that night – a Rugby League World Cup – is about to stage its 16th edition.

Click the link below for interview:

https://youtu.be/qYavHFGQBgQ

The South Sydney Rugby League club has had a consistent and very successful presence in the game of Rugby League since its inception in 1908.
Sure, there have been some difficult periods, BUT, South Sydney faced its greatest challenge in the late 1990s, when a combination of greed, power and ambition would remove the Rabbitohs from the Rugby League competition.

What followed next, was an epic battle between an army of businessman, lawyers and the media on one side – AND, on the other side, an army that no-one bothered to listen to! This army, were the supporters of the South Sydney District Rugby League Football Club.
