Life is fragile. You don’t really appreciate your life until you realise how short it can be.
Mum had been battling lung cancer for a while now. She was a proud and strong woman who lived her life how she wanted. No chemo, just raw dogged the s**t outta it until the end. But even towards the end, she was still as independent as she could and refused help from others.
Stress life. Life is short. Appreciate what you have.

LESGOOO! Congrats to on his performance for his National Qualifiers .tribe

We had a bit of a hiccup on the third squat. George strained what seems to be his quad/rec fem but we’ll wait to see what the actual diagnosis is. With that, we had to change how we approached both lifts. Instead of calling it, we had to play it smart to give him the best chance at first qualifying for nationals but also not making the injury any worse to give him the best prep time for it too.
For the bench, slightly change the set up so there’s not as much hip extension. We gave up a bit of range and leg drive but focused on stability and wedging.
For the deadlift, no wedge or dynamic start. The focus was on hinging to take as much of the quad out as possible.
Overall finishing 1st with a 8/9 and going 270/187.5/300 totalling 757.5kg. 5kg less than his best and a lot less than initially planned but that’s just how it is.
Super proud of your composure today George! Leading from the front 💪🏻
