LTFA Person of the Month – June 2026 – Xander

From the very first moment you meet Xander, one thing immediately stands out, his smile. He approaches everything in life with positivity, happiness, and a genuine love for what he does. Xander is truly the definition of “glass half full,” and that energy is something that instantly lifts the environment around him. He makes coaching fun simply because of the passion and joy he brings every single session.

Beyond his positive nature, Xander has an incredible desire to improve. Whether it’s a dribbling pattern, a 1v1 exercise, or refining the technique behind his passing and receiving, he is always searching for the little details that can help him become better. He understands the importance of the “1%ers,” and for such a young boy, that mindset is incredibly impressive. You look at Xander and can’t help but feel that his dedication and willingness to grow will take him a long way in life.

What also makes Xander special is the value he places on everything he does. Whether he is playing as a goalkeeper or outfield player, he always gives his absolute best for the group. He encourages his teammates, supports those around him, and consistently looks for ways not only to improve himself, but to help others improve too. That selflessness and positivity are qualities that every coach hopes to see in a young player.

As coaches, when you get the opportunity to work with a boy like Xander, you quickly realise just how lucky you are. He makes coaching fulfilling because of the way he responds to learning and the progress he continues to make. His running mechanics, footwork, passing, receiving, and overall gameplay have all developed immensely, but most importantly, so has his confidence in himself and his abilities.

Xander, thank you for being such an amazing part of our sessions each and every week. You show up with a smile, give your all, and remind us why we love doing what we do. We are so proud of the person you continue to become and cannot wait to see where this beautiful journey of life takes you.

LTFA Persons of the Month – May 2026 - Andrew and Nicholas

This month we recognise two brothers who truly embody what LTFA is all about — Nicholas and Andrew.

From the very first session, Andrew, the older brother, set the tone. His passion and competitiveness were clear immediately, but what stands out most is how he competes. For Andrew, winning isn’t just about the score, it’s about improving, learning new skills, and applying them in the game. He brings intensity in the most positive way, always pushing himself to be better, and that standard has been there from day one.

Nicholas, the younger brother, brings that same passion in his own way. Don’t let his calm nature fool you - he wears his heart on his sleeve. He works incredibly hard, loves what he does, and consistently pushes himself to improve. As a coach, that kind of drive is something you can’t help but admire.

What makes these two boys special is not just their individual qualities, but the way they support each other. Yes, they are brothers, but beyond that, they challenge each other, compete with each other, and raise each other’s standards every time they step onto the pitch. That balance of support and competition is exactly what we love to see.

Their hard work, passion, and consistency have led them both to earn positions with St George FC in the JDL program, where they continue to thrive and grow. They are a testament to what can be achieved when effort is applied over time with the right mindset.

Boys, you represent everything we stand for - passion, consistency, and the understanding that effort over time leads to results. We could not be prouder of the young men you are becoming, and we are so grateful to be part of your journey.
