Paralympics Australia is coming to the University of Sydney campus and will be running a 'Come-and-Try' event THIS Saturday (25/02)!!

Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness is inviting you to take part in this event where you can meet new people, learn new sports, and get more involved in Para-sport.

📌 Where: Sydney University Sports & Aquatic Centre
📌 When: Saturday, 25 February at 10:30am-1pm

We're so excited to share photos from our recent Intervarsity Touch Football and Rugby Carnival, proudly made possible by BOQ Specialist. It's been incredibly fun and an absolute pleasure to revive this flagship annual event again since COVID struck, with our friends from UQMS flying down to join us and UNDS for the first time!

Special shout out as well to our incredible Sports Convenors Carl and Jana who put countless hours into planning with our UQ and UNDS friends to make this a reality! Big shout out as well to Ben, Dylan and Michael who coached our rugby boys; and Tilly and Nigel for coaching the touch team.

It was a great day enjoyed by all on and off the field with the post-match drinks bringing plenty of vibes, and we can't wait to see everyone again for next year's games!

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝗨𝗽

The gold has been plated, the finishing touches made, and the ultimate champions finally engraved on our iCUP trophy – and with that, the inaugural Interclinical Cup has come to an end! We want to give a heartfelt shoutout to everyone who participated across the four sports and lent a hand to make it the raging success it was. Without any of you, none of this would have been possible.

Triumphant congratulations go to 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 on taking out the W – it came down to the final champions’ sport of dodgeball to determine the victor!

𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 – we may have gotten the wooden spoon, but if there were a trophy for indomitable team spirit, it would be ours.

Huge thank you to SUMS Executives Clement and Justine for always being there throughout the logistical aspects of organising and running the event, and making the iCUP BBQ and trophy ceremony possible. We would be lost without your guidance and support.

We look forward to seeing everyone at future years of the iCUP, in the continued battle for ultimate Clinical School supremacy but for now, here are some pics to relive the memories.

The first sport of the semester will be OzTag next Wednesday at the Square!

So if you’ve got some spare time Wednesday morning/afternoon, come rep the FMH team along with students from Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing

The USYD x UNDS x UQ MedVarsity Rugby / Touch matches are taking place Saturday 15 October 2022. This is your final chance to be part of the biggest sporting event of the year!!

Please message our Sports Reps Carl Hinschen or Jana Siazar Dela Cruz by 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟯 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟭:𝟱𝟵𝗽𝗺 if you'd like to join the team, and claim ultimate glory for USYD. We'll see you there! 🏆👑

With the conclusion of basketball yesterday, we are now halfway through the inaugural iCUP series! Thank you to everyone who has participated so far - the turn out across all clinical schools has been absolutely phenomenal 🤩🤩

Every clinical school has now had the opportunity to play each other once and the current standings are:

1. Northern 42 points
2. Central 40 points
3. Westmead 26 points
4. Concord 23 points
5. Nepean 16 points

As you can see, the race for the iCUP is neck and neck (bonus points have been the separating factor) but with two more sports to go, anything is still possible! Will Northern maintain their lead or will Nepean do a Steven Bradbury and pull out an unlikely win? 👀👀👀👀👀

❗️Update on MedVarsity Rugby/Touch Competition❗️

After convening with representatives from UQ and UNDS, it has been decided that the July 16 competition will be postponed due to the recent weather and uncertain forecast for the week ahead.

We apologise for the inconveniences this may cause, but we will keep you updated on the new date as well as other Rugby/Touch matters (training, uniform, etc.).

Just a reminder about today's training session!

Date & Time: Saturday, 25th June, from 1-3pm
Location: Wentworth Park Field 3
What to bring: Clothes to play sport in, mouth guard and boots (if you have some), water bottle, relevant medication, and rugby union/touch balls if you've got any.

Thanks everyone who came to our first training session of the year! It was great to see the enthusiasm and the support from each player.

URGENT CHANGE TO RUGBY TRAINING

Due to unforeseen circumstances, tomorrows training session has been moved to WENTWORTH PARK at 1-3pm.

It will still be tomorrow (Saturday 18th)

Sorry for the mess around

Just a reminder for training tomorrow.
Don't forget to bring:
- Water bottle
- Footy boots/closed in shoes
- Mouth guards (won't be a lot of contact but for safety)
- Training clothes (could get dirty/muddy)
- Any extra rugby union or touch footballs if you have them
