This includes becoming more aware of someone crossing your personal boundaries (the hoops) and using frames to create distance for defense.

We get asked this a lot by parents: Is training BJJ once a week enough?
Once a week is a great start. One class is better than none. If your child train twice a week, they will progress a lot further as they get more mat time to practice more, build confidence and retain more techniques.
Here’s why we recommend at least twice a week:
⚡ Faster Improvement
More sessions mean more mat time to practice the techniques. The more they drill, the more natural the movements become.
⚡ Retain More Techniques
Shorter gaps between classes help kids retain techniques better and build consistency. This will also reduce the struggle of "forgetting techniques" during rolls.
⚡ More Confidence
Regular training allows for feedback, questions, and real-time adjustments — all key to learning that builds confidence.
This is why we have kids classes everyday.
