I bet you didn't know all of these.

Bands are often underrated for what they are best at, and overrated for weird stuff.

Meanwhile our hands are considered necessary for almost everything, but if you can't use them, or they aren't strong enough do you just give up exercising? Not at all! There are some easy ways around not being able to grip.

If you want more simple tips for your injury rehab, make sure you follow

We are on the verge of a new adventure.

Bigger than anything we’ve done before, with a smaller companion than ever before.

If I’m a bit slower to reply for a bit, I hope you understand :)

Yes this genuinely only takes 10 minutes. Here’s the sets and reps:

World’s Greatest Stretch- Each side twist for 30 seconds, then 1 minute stretch where you need it most

Swivel Hips- 1 minute back and forth

Butterflys- 1 minute flapping, 1 minute stretch hold

Lower Back Flex- 1 minute

Swivel Hips Set 2- 1 minute back and forth

Lower Back Flex Set 2- 1 minute

One minute spare to change between exercises.

Progression:

The world’s greatest stretch can be progressed by increasing your range of motion and depth of stretch.

You can add load to swivel hips by doing one leg at a time and pressing down with the other leg.

Butterflys can be loaded with dumbbells on your knees.

The lower back flex can be loaded by laying face down on a bench with your legs off the end and performing the same action. As this gets easy move higher so you can hang your legs straight down.

Save this post so that you can keep working on your hips and remember how to progress when you need to.

When movement causes us pain we can forget what good it can do for us.

Exercise is one of the best things you can do to pick yourself up, mentally and physically When that is taken away from you, you lose a major coping strategy.

I hear time and time again how not only do my workouts make my clients feel physically better, but mentally better too. When you are fighting pain that’s a huge bonus.

Suzette is more resilient, pain free and fitter after working with me. You could be too.

So if you want to feel better, even when life throws a spanner in the works, now is the time to act.

Drop me a message now to tell me what you have been struggling with.

Another weekend of feeling sore and missing out on things is around the corner.

You’ve probably been in pain a while now and accepted that this is how your life will be now. You’re not as young as you used to be after all.

It’s normal to not be able to do the things you used to, to have to think about the best way to get into that low cupboard, or how you’re going to manage that long drive without too much pain.

But it isn’t.

Being in pain is not inevitable.

I’ve seen so many people think this way and then one day it just got too much. They hit their breaking point and knew they had to try something. Even though they’ve often failed to get out of pain before, they realised the cost of staying the same, the cost of not trying was too great.

Because they didn’t want this pain, this limitation, this shrinking life to be their future.

When the pain of change, even the pain of hopes being dashed again is less than the pain of doing nothing, of thinking what if, the pain of regret…

That is when people have to act.

But you don’t have to wait that long. I’m telling you that you have permission to be hopeful, that you can change things for the better. And if you do it now, you’ll have so much more time to enjoy life.

My doors close to new clients for the rest of the year in 48 hours.

Take this chance.

Message me “Ready”

Every movement felt like a red light to her. Pain, instability, fear.

But the problem was movement was exactly what she needed. Even worse, movement with load. Something she had avoided for years.

But the injections and braces hadn’t worked. Rest certainly hadn’t worked.

She tried to keep going, but some things in life were simply not possible anymore.

We changed that by changing how we interpreted pain.

Not all pain is a stop sign. It’s actually a navigation system, guiding us on where to go, what to do and how successful we’ve been.

During exercise, use pain like a traffic light system. 1 to 4 out of 10 and you can keep going. 5 to 7 and you should monitor the feelings closely and maybe modify what you are doing. 8-10 and you should stop.

In the days after use the pain like a sat nav. Extra pain up to a day after is normal for having worked hard. Two days of extra pain means you pushed too hard.

If you never really feel challenged, then you definitely need to push harder next time.

Use your pain as a guidance system and you will be much better off in the long term.

If you need more personal guidance, now is the time to get it. Message me "stop" now, and we can talk about how I can help.

I knew this would work.

But she wasn't sure. I'd been on the same journey myself though, and I'd already navigated the ups and downs. This personal experience is what convinced her that she would be OK in the end.

And she was. And still is!

Getting out of pain is not always easy. Sometimes you take 2 steps forward and one step back. But if you keep moving forward, in the right direction, you will get there.

If you've been told there is no hope for you to beat your pain, I want you to know that this is rarely true. Most people are written off far too early.

You just need someone in your corner who will fight for your future, and who can set you moving in the right direction.

So if you are in pain, whether it's been months, years or decades, please reach out. Message me "pain" and we can talk about how I might help.
