That is the moment when I feel the fire at the tip of my finger, that is energy. When the horse receives it through the correct line, it becomes connection, it becomes a harmonious walk to canter.
Today, I tried to work only with my inner energy, literally from my belly and my nerves. When Zorro went from canter to trot, it was because of my energy. When I asked him to walk with words, he didn’t understand. But when I breathed deeply, he walked. You can even hear my breathing. Then the stop worked with our word.
It isn’t easy to get there. Every trainer knows that we try and try again, day after day, in different ways. And when, at the end, we finally find it, we have to leave it there, in that beautiful moment. He will keep it because it felt good. He did it. He connected. We understood each other.
Not easy. Not in one day.
But when it arrives; connection, energy, understanding, and gratitude; it is amazing.
Thank you, Zorro. 🐴💖

This changes everything about how we communicate with horses.
Pressure isn’t the problem.
Confusion is.
Horses experience pressure every day—from the herd, from their environment, and from us.
But what creates anxiety is when that pressure doesn’t make sense… when there’s no clear answer… no release… no understanding.
It shows up when you:
✨ Apply pressure without clear intention
✨ Miss the moment to release
✨ Ask for too much, too soon
✨ Change the question before your horse finds the answer
But when you bring clarity to your communication:
Pressure becomes a guide… not a threat.
Because when a horse understands:
They search for the answer.
They gain confidence.
They become calmer, softer, and more willing.
Good horsemanship isn’t about avoiding pressure…
It’s about making pressure meaningful—by releasing at the right moment.

Topaz clearly speaks Farsi now… I knew it all along 😂
“Topaz, kaja miri?!” WHERE ARE YOU GOING TOPAZ? And he stops like a human!🐴💖😌
But jokes aside… what he really understood wasn’t the words.
It was the tone, the energy, the intention behind them.
That quiet leadership… and maybe a little “firm love” from a friend asking him not to move 🤍
Horses don’t need our language , they feel us.
And Topaz felt exactly what I meant.
