A big Thankyou to everyone that made the trip to Marcellin Fields to celebrate the Mental Health Cup between the Alexandria Rovers & Redfern All Blacks. This was the 5th year of the celebration of this event and the Rovers have etched their name on the 2026 edition.
For the first year The Rovers introduced the Nathan Merritt award which is presented to the rovers player of the match.
Nathan was at the rose_of_australia to present the medal to the inaugural winner Adam Morgan.
Adam has been an integral part of the Rovers since the inception of the mental health cup and we are so proud of everything he has done for this club.

The u/8s played a very good south eastern side. The boys played hard and fought throughout the games

Man of the match this week is Aggie. Scored his first try of the year from dummy half and continues to do his job really well with good service from dummy half 💙🩷

Our little under 5's played a quality game of footy today against Marrickville.

Their skills have come along way since the start of the season.
They all did a great job staying within the boundry.

Todays Little Legend is Cali.
Just her third game and its like she has played for years.

The Rovers U6s put in another fantastic team performance against the Newtown Jets, showing great enthusiasm, teamwork and determination from the opening kick-off to the full time.
A special shout out goes to our joint Players of the Match, Bert and Hunter. Bert celebrated a memorable milestone by scoring his first two tries for the Rovers, running hard and showing great confidence with the ball.
Hunter was outstanding throughout the game, crossing for three tries while also making a couple of crucial try-saving tags with some excellent defensive effort. Every player contributed with strong running, passing and support play, and it was wonderful to see the team's skills and confidence continue to grow. Well done, Rovers! 💙🩷

It’s our very special time of the season where our our inner city community comes together to celebrate and commemorate the annual Mental Health Cup with redfernallblacksrlfc.
A game that’s now in its 5th year.
A loving memory for the Husband and Lucas family a day for all our families and friends to remember these beautiful boys.
Unfortunately we haven’t been granted a home game to mark this important occasion, we are beyond disappointed but we would love as many supporters on both sides to join us at Marcellin fields this Sunday!
