Specialising in Egyptian and Turkish styles. Ellie Maye has been dancing since childhood and fell in love with belly dancing in 2014. A teacher for over 5 years, she has studied and taught traditional, modern and contemporary fusion styles of belly dance. Ellie is a certified Bellyqueen teacher (2022), trained under Kaeshi Chai. A rotating deep‑dive into iconic styles:
• Turkish Romani - expressive, earthy, full of personality
• Melaya - playful, theatrical, veil‑based fun from Alexandria, Egypt
Open level with optional challenges.

Perfect for beginners, experienced dancers, and anyone wanting something to keep them shimmying this winter.

We’re so excited to be part of Shimmy Mob again this year. Shimmy Mob is a global flash‑mob style event raising awareness of domestic violence and supporting the incredible work happening right here in our community.

Our Kiama team is dancing to raise funds for SASSI (formerly SAHSSI), who support people fleeing violence across the Illawarra and Shoalhaven. Their work is life‑changing, and every dollar helps.
