Well what can I say - except Another Brilliant two days at running our Beyond the Badge 2 Day Career Transition Program for first responders.

We had 13 Current, Transitioning and Former NSW Police Force officers with us for the 2 days to gain an understanding and explore what the future might look like after their service. Many of our participants are forced to leave the job they love due to physical and or mental heath reasons and we have been supporting them for the past 8 years now and absolutely love our 2 days that we get to spend amongst them.

“Trigger Warning ”Two weeks into his policing career, Jason Semple was on a night out with a couple of colleagues when two of them were stabbed by a male person who was attempting to sell them drugs. Jason was in a critical condition but survived, Peter Forsyth, who was tending to Peters wounds sadly did not.
This event shaped Jason's career and he went on to perform in many high-risk teams across multiple agencies in Australia and abroad.
This podcast focuses on Jason’s career choices, his strength, resilience and his eventual transition into the private sector. It is an inspiring story that needs 2 episodes to do it justice.

Your understanding and insights were such an important part of our Day 1 session and you made our 12 current and former Police officers feel relaxed and welcome. It was also a privilege to welcome back a former program participant Debra Nelson who has done some amazing things since we first met her in 2021. Deb gave up her time to address the team and provide her experience from a difficult transition out of NSW Police Force to her first, second and now current role as a senior manager with Transport for NSW.
