Hi! here is one more interesting sequence of asanas blog for my dear readers about an ancient and sacred yogic technique from India to express gratitude to the Mother Earth “Prithvi Namaskar” and a physical culture which naturally starts the Susumna Nadi.

Prithvi Namaskar , it can be done at any time of the day, preferably empty stomach or with a meal gap of at least 3 hours. There are numerous health benefits of Prithvi Namskar for different systems of the body, provided proper breathing pattern is followed. It revitalizes each and every cell of the body, gives physical strength, flexibility, mental calmness, stability and focus. It has an amazing effect on thighs,hamstrings ,gastrocnemius muscle; gluteus muscles; quadriceps femoris muscle; sartorius muscle; soleus muscle.

There are two mantras, connected to Prithivi Namaskar. The first one is “ OM PRITHVIYAEE NAMAHA- ॐ पृथिव्यैनमः” and second one is “OM BHOODEVIYAEE NAMAHA – ॐभूदेव्यै नमः” – both are directed to the Mother Earth

The Prithvi namaskar is a tribute to this divine tattva that we call our home. Prithvi, the Earth, is the tattva of strength, form, patience and vitality. It is the epitome of humility for it takes the shape of mountains, valleys, hills and beaches and yet, bears the weight of all that roams its surface.

In the chakra sadhana course of 7 days we will be exploring the chakras. We will see the symbolic representation of the chakras, we will see the location of the chakras, we will get to know all their qualities, elements, jnana indriyas and karma indriyas which are sense organs and organs of actions. We will learn how to cleanse, balance, and activate them in preparation for Kundalini awakening.

As a preparation we will learn about pancha koshas and a little about pancha mahabhutas. We will be doing very deep yet simple asanas, pranayamas, mudras and bandhas to cleanse balance and activate each chakra. And we will also do chakra shuddhi, which is an ancient meditation from the tantras- powerful, yet engaging and simple, and universal as it is found in many other spiritual systems.
