Looking forward to CASA approving this Game Changer in the near future. Thanks Sport Aircraft Association of Australia
We don't have a date yet BUT ...............
We’re just as eager as you are!
Behind the scenes, everything is ready:
• The classroom is set
• Our trainers are fully briefed
• All course materials are prepared
Now we’re simply waiting for CASA to finalise the instrument. As soon as that happens, enrolments will open—and Full Members will be the first to know.
If you’re not yet a Full Member, now is the perfect time to join SAAA https://saaa.asn.au/join/
and then register your interest at [email protected] so you don’t miss out on access once the course goes live. (Eligibility is limited to Full Members; Social and Student Members are not eligible.)

✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️ TEAM NEWS ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
Blue skies and new horizons, Freedom Formation family!
As our team evolves and we navigate a period of internal transition, we’ve decided to take some time to recalibrate for the journey ahead.
We want to return stronger and sharper than ever, so Freedom Formation will step back from all formal airshow engagements in 2026.
Don't worry - we are definitely not hanging up our flight suits! You’ll occasionally see our members practicing, keeping our skills honed, refining and developing new routines.
But principally, we are using this year to focus on the fundamentals and build a solid foundation for our next chapter.
We will be back in 2027. In the meantime, we can’t thank you all enough for your incredible loyalty, for flying high with us, right alongside us, and, particularly, for all your love in recent months. Keep your eyes out for smoke on the horizon!
A huge and special thanks to all our wonderful sponsors for absolutely everything they have helped us with these past few years, especially the Sport Aircraft Association of Australia, Skyfuel Australia, and AvPlan EFB.
All our av-love (especially to our families),
Freedom Formation Display Team

Next week, we farewell our beloved teammate Eddie.
Eddie Seve was tragically lost in an aircraft accident. In his memory, Eddie’s family has chosen, instead of flowers, to invite donations to Temora Flyers Inc to support future Youth in Aviation programs.
Eddie was a deeply passionate aviator who embraced every opportunity to share his love of flying. One of his greatest joys was introducing others to aviation, often taking friends, family, and newcomers aloft in his beautiful RV-7. Above all, Eddie was driven by a desire to ignite a spark — particularly in young people who could benefit from being exposed to the world of aviation.
This fund has been established to honour Eddie’s legacy by continuing the work he cared so deeply about: inspiring, mentoring, and supporting the next generation of pilots. All funds raised will assist Temora Flyers Inc in delivering youth-focused aviation experiences, helping ensure Eddie’s passion for flight lives on through those who follow.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far and for helping turn loss into something meaningful and positive. Your support is keeping Eddie’s legacy alive and inspiring the next generation of aviators.
