Finally got around to building this KLEIN Pulse Race, a classic 90s MTB made at the Klein factory in Washington State. Klein was eventually bought by Trek and shut down, but to this day they represent the pinnacle of aluminium frame building and zany paintjobs.

This one features a few interesting mods including Dorcus rigid carbon forks and carbon seatpost, and a Bontrager moto-style riser bar. Besides that it has a beautiful Sugino 94BCD triple crankset, Tange headset and Shimano STX-RC groupset throughout, as well as those kooky backwards rear dropouts which Klein were known for.

Come take it for a spin ๐Ÿ˜˜

Classy little number from our friend Arthur.

F. Moser funny bike (700C/650C) + Record hubs and chainset + Izumi chain + Schwalbe Ones.

This bike was built from the frame up over many years and across cities before finding its way to our workshop.

It was a pleasure to work on and be a part of its story.

Sneaky lil Cannondale build for our mate

Lots of nice bits on this one incl. full Dura-Ace 7700 gruppo + Mavic Ksyriums + Columbus fork + Selle ๐“•๐“ต๐“ฒ๐“ฝ๐“ฎ Ti saddle + Miche Supertype seatpost.

We gave it the special treatment, threw on some nice tan walls and a few other shiny bits and bobs.

Pub bikes don't come much slicker than this.

Had a blast today at our lil reopening shindig. Great to see so many old and new friends pop in and check out the new shop.

Thanks to everyone who came along and gave their support. Also huge thanks for the generous donations from for their delicious coffee and for some tasty oat milk.

Cheers also to my mate who brought some wonderful positive energy and much appreciated help with promo. And finally to my special little big boy who helped with setup and kept our punters highly caffeinated, and more importantly insisted I get off my ass and host this event in the first place.

Looking forward to a new chapter for Sydney's second messiest bike shop, and hope to see y'all soon ๐Ÿ˜˜

Sum pix from our official closing party hoedown / fundraiser, DISTANT LANDS.ย

Much love to our DJs and performers:ย

All three played incredible sets and each brought their own unique and wonderful energy to the night.

Thanks to Irene for helping with organising + fundraising. Thanks also to Emma, Jack, Mark, Eddie and Alice who all contributed their time / resources.ย

Shout out to who generously donated a few cases of Norman Aussie Pale. Much appreciated!ย

And to the punter who stole our spare rolls of toilet paper - I hope things are looking up for you.ย

Ultimately we raised $1004.91 for Women's Place. Please consider checking out the great work they do and supporting their mission if you have the means.

DISTANT LANDS will be the last party at our shopfront before we move to a new top-secret location.

We are thrilled to host some heavy hitters of the Sydney underground:

Expect deep and dark rhythms +
mystery, enchantment and kinship +
an expansive df with plenty of room to groove.

This event will be raising money for Womens Centre Redfern. Mudgin-Gal, meaning โ€˜Womenโ€™s Placeโ€™, is an Aboriginal organisation delivering support, referrals and community-based services to Aboriginal women and families in inner city Sydney since 1992. It aims to build the capability of Aboriginal women and families through the delivery of skills-based programs, whilst also providing a safe space for vulnerable women.

Please get in touch if you would like to help out with this event.

Also thanks to my seafaring friend Alice for the beautiful image you see in the poster.
