Our autumn 3 bowl triples tournament was a huge success with 42 teams & representatives from 25 clubs. Engadine, Cabramatta, Marrickville, Woonona, Taren Point, Caringbah, Grandviews, Olds Park, Revesby, Sylvania, The Entrance, Dee Why, Cronulla, Merrylands, St Johns Park, Poverty Point, Alexandria Erskineville, Sutherland, Mt Lewis, Dapto Citizens, Bronte, The Hills, Figtree, West Leagues & Gymea.
competing for a prize pool of $3,090.00. it is also a great time to catch up with friends from other clubs. We were blessed with great weather which seemed to favour the winners a composite team from Woonona & Dapto Bowling Clubs.

It’s simply exiting to be a Goanna & Lilly these days with 3 teams in the finals & all 3 teams winning their first game.
Grade 4 started & finished a nail biting game holding off Bronte through out the game with only a couple of shots, finally coming out victorious by 5 shots 56 - 51 & picked up 9 points. They go on to play a must win game on Saturday 17th May at 12.45 against Taren Point, the winner (Gymea) will progress to the Final on Sunday 18th May at 12.45 against Hillsdale, who narrowly beat our 5’s last year to progress to the State finals, this time round Hillsdale won’t be so lucky..
Grade 6 started off strong & finished the same way taking the game to Marrickville & winning 65 - 51 & 9 points. Koree’s side took the lead early & looked like never looking back but Marrickville had other ideas coming back and finishing 2 shots ahead of them. The 6’s go on to play Sunday 18th 8.45am against the winner between Taren Point & Western Suburbs who will playoff on Saturday 17th at 8.45am. The winner of that game (Gymea) will play in the final in the afternoon at 12.45pm
Grade 7 looked solid against a very strong Sylvania who put up a good fight but were beaten on the day by a better side Gymea Green 7’s winning the tussle 60 - 56 & 9 points. Our 7’s will play on Sunday 18th May at 8.45 am against the winner of the Cronulla & Engadine game which will be played on Saturday 17th May at 8.45am. The winner of that game (Gymea) will play in the final in the afternoon at 12.45pm.
Hopefully you have caught up with your chores & have the time to support your teams again this weekend, all you could see was Gymea supporters all over Taren Point last weekend as usual we outnumbered all the clubs there & all our bowlers really appreciate your time & effort.

2024 Major Singles Champion
Rohan Stocker is our new major singles champion, after a had fought battle against another of Gymea’s top bowlers Stu Brooks. it was a game played in extreme conditions with the hot weather coming very close to a point of calling it off with officials monitoring the soaring heat every minute. Both bowlers played great & at the end of the day there could only be one winner, Congratulations Rohan on your 25 – 19 win.

2024 Minor Singles Champion
The game was played with a lot of intensity and skill from both players and not to mention very hot conditions. John Ferguson skipped to an early lead but John McFarlane never let him get to far ahead and always fighting.
Ultimately the day and title went to John Ferguson 25/22. Congratulations to both John‘s.
