Do not underestimate the power of your mindfulness and yoga practice on the rest of your family 😉
Mr 7 enjoys stretching most days and on this particular day he choose to come up with his own practice- he chose the poses that felt right for his body and he was proud to try; they didn’t have to look perfect- yoga is NEVER about that, but he went with what he was feeling in the moment and being PRESENT practicing Prana (breathing) in his chosen asanas (poses).
Very proud 🥹

We recently took part in the Glenmore Park Family Fun Day and what an event! Yoga isn’t just poses on a mat: it is practicing mindfulness through various hand/eye coordination activities, practicing calming exercises such as colouring and so much more! Stay tuned for future events!

Do you know it is never too early to teach children self-regulation through breathwork and physical movements?
We can empower our children to take control of their feelings from as young as 6 months- that’s not to say they’ll become little zen masters, but we can equip them with little tools to use when they feel sensory or emotional overload. These 7 “exercises “ are a brilliant tool to enjoy with children! I recommend 45 seconds on each one with 15 second breaks in between- pop on some music, jump on the mat with your little one and sweat the silly’s out 😃😜

Children learn through the art of play; they develop connections at play; learn human behaviours such as sharing, conversation skills, make believe and so much more. They are open to trying new things and love to move their bodies. This is so evident when working with young preschoolers! There is always a fun time to be had and we all get to move our bodies in so many fun ways and exercise our mind and practice our breathing skills too 🌿🧘🏽‍♀️
