Wear It Purple Day is this Friday, and we're getting ready to wear purple with pride. π
This year's theme, Colours of Courage, celebrates the strength it takes to live authentically and the people who show up in support. Founded to stand with LGBTQIA+ young people facing bullying and harassment, Wear It Purple Day reminds us that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued and supported.
On Friday 28 August, wear a splash of purple to show your support. Purple sweatbands will also be available during group exercise classes for anyone who would like to get involved.
At Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, everyone is welcome.

πββοΈ Taking on the Sydney Marathon on 30 August? The countdown to race day is on, and smart recovery is just as important as training.
As you start to taper, consider swapping a run for a few laps in our heated pools.
π¦ Give your joints a break
Enjoy a great cardio session without the impact on your knees, ankles and hips.
πͺ Support muscle recovery
Swimming can help improve circulation, ease muscle soreness and leave tired legs feeling refreshed.
π§ Reset your mind
A calm swim is the perfect way to reduce pre-race nerves, clear your head and focus on the finish line ahead.
Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply aiming to cross the finish line, a swim could be the recovery session your body needs this week. Good luck!

GO GUNYAMA RUN CLUB!!! πββοΈπββοΈπ
Back on 17 March, we laced up for our very first run club session...
Less than five months later, seeing a crew from Gunyama Run Club take on City2Surf together is something pretty special. What started as a weekly run club has become a community built on encouragement, consistency, laughs, support, and showing up for one another.
Weβre so proud of everyone who took on City2Surf and grateful for everyone whoβs been part of the journey so far. From first-timers to seasoned runners, the crew conquered 14km, smashed personal bests, and proved just how far weβve come together! π
Hereβs to many more Tuesday runs, goals crushed, events shared, and memories made.
If youβve been thinking about joining us, this is your sign. Everyone is welcome. π
