Rest is not falling behind. It is when real progress happens.
During sleep, your body releases growth hormones that repair muscle and restore energy. Rest also helps your joints recover from impact and allows your mind to reset. When you skip recovery, your body has less time to adapt, which slows progress and increases the chance of injury.
Recovery is not a reward for hard work. It is part of the process. Sleep, hydration, good food, and cooling sore muscles all play a role in keeping your body ready for what comes next.
Strong performance comes from balance, not burnout.
The athletes who stay strong are the ones who know when to rest.
