Racing a marathon? Keep this in mind when you’re curating your race plan.

The numbers don’t lie and this isn’t a coincidence, plain and simple - we go out too hot.

Marathons don’t need to be torture the whole way through, you just need to know how to manage your pace, know your splits and most importantly know where your fitness is at before stepping up to the start line.

Our pre race pace setting can help, interested in getting a coach? We got you

Everyone thinks Hyrox is a strength day.

It is really a running test with interruptions and trying to hold your pace before a set of wall balls tells you more about your fitness than any easy run will.

Congratulations to Lexi on her first Half Marathon

Lexi has been in a training block for the Nike After Dark Half Marathon, when a ticket popped up for the parramatta half we decided to tack it on to set a base line for the upcoming A race.

The bench mark was set at 1:51:05, our goal for our A race is sub 1:50.

9 weeks to go and we’re on track.

Perth? Melbourne? Brissy?

Whatever event you’re doing, start training now. Give yourself the best chance at improving your running, add a 10 or 21km race in the mix to help prepare before your event.

Congratulations to our runner Daniel on a new best of 1:21:29 at the recent parramatta half marathon by 180 cadence.

We had structured Daniel’s training to target the half marathon distance as well as hyrox, focusing on 1-1.6km speed intervals and long threshold work, both which directly enhance performance across both disciplines.

You don’t need to be running 100 miles a week for a good result, we capped out at 52km during this prep which allowed for time in the gym 💪🏽

Ted taking on the hills of Sydney at the recent Hoka Half Marathon!

Ted has consistently shown up in training with us and proved he is eager to improve and enjoy his training - just one week after the Hoka Half, Ted cycled 158km around parramatta and Western Sydney on his road bike.

Next up is Sydney Marathon to take on the full loop of Sydney and we’re looking forward to the training ahead 🔥

A big congratulations to our runner Beau on completing her first Half Marathon in May this year.

We have had the privilege of having Beau on since August 2025 and have watched her go from strength to strength with her running.

Next up is Hyrox Doubles and a sub 60 minute 10km 🏃‍♂️

The biggest mistake in half marathon training?

Your easy runs are too fast.

Most runners push every session to a moderate effort because it feels productive.

It is the worst of both worlds, too hard to recover from and not easy enough to build a real aerobic base.

Keep about 80 percent of your week genuinely easy and your hard days get sharper.
