A great result for PaddleNSW, with teams featuring across the Open and Division 2 podiums at last weekend's Summer Series #3 event in Canberra. Canoe Polo ACT Kanusport enjoyed their third straight Summer Series win, whilst Sydney Canoe Polo Club received bronze in their first season. After a thrilling three rounds of golden goal in the semis, Shoalhaven Canoe & Kayak Club received second place in Division 2, whilst the Capital Chicks took out third.

It was also great to have Sydney University Canoe Club entering their USYD team, and thanks to Burley Griffin Canoe Club (BGCC) for hosting 👏👏

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the first Sydney Canoe Polo Club competition and opening event of the 2025/26 Australian summer series! A special shoutout to our three international players from Taiwan who competed in team Thunder in the women’s division—your participation brought great energy to the tournament.

All teams in B Grade were PaddleNSW teams, with Shoalhaven Canoe & Kayak Club, Burley Griffin Canoe Club (BGCC) and Sydney University Canoe Club entered. In A Grade, ACT team, Kanusport finished first, with the Sydney Sharks in third.

Some notes for Summer Series event at Penrith this weekend.

There’s expected to be a large turnout for the Come and Try days Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so we have been afforded some parking space (highlighted in blue) over the weekend.

Just be forewarned that if you leave this area during the day, you will have to contend with the publicly available parking, as the gate (marked in red) won’t be left open.

See some of you tomorrow and the rest of you Saturday 🙂

Cheers
Darragh
