Wise words from Joseph Pilates.

He was ahead of his time, his philosophies around breath and movement still ring true today.

We are so fortunate to be able to carry on his legacy through teaching the Pilates Method at RE-VIVE

The secret to staying consistent in winter is making it enjoyable.

If your routine feels like a chore, it’s much harder to stick to — especially when it’s cold and dark.
Those who stay consistent find ways to make it something they look forward to.

Here’s how:
• Choose a studio environment that feels welcoming and supportive.
• Connect with others in class for accountability.
• Focus on how good you feel afterwards.

Enjoyment creates consistency.

This is a beautiful ritual to take on.

Sometimes I enjoy walking with a friend and having a good chat, sometimes I prefer to be along and listen to a podcast, other times I take my dog Lulu and stop at every tree along the way! No matter which kind of walk, I always feel better for having had some fresh air and freedom to walk.

The myth is that you can “start fresh” in spring and skip winter altogether.

It’s easy to think you’ll get back into routine when the weather improves. But the truth is, the habits you build in winter are what carry you into spring feeling strong and energised.

Winter is where the real work happens.
Instead of waiting, try this:
• Keep your routine simple and achievable.
• Focus on maintaining, not overhauling.
• Trust that small efforts now will compound later.

Spring results are built in winter.
✨ Save this for when you feel like “waiting until later.”

Winter rituals don’t just support your body — they steady your mind.

When days feel shorter and busier, having something consistent to anchor you can make a huge difference.
Movement becomes more than physical — it becomes grounding.

You may notice:
• Reduced stress and overwhelm.
• A sense of routine and stability.
• More clarity and calm in your day.

These are the hidden benefits of showing up.
💗 Like this if movement helps you feel more grounded.

The best winter ritual you can create is one that feels nurturing, not demanding.

This isn’t the season to push yourself to extremes. It’s the season to support your body in a way that feels sustainable and kind.
When clients shift into this mindset, everything changes.

Try this:
• Choose movement that leaves you feeling better, not exhausted.
• Create a calming post-class routine (tea, shower, quiet time).
• Focus on consistency over intensity.

Winter is where foundations are built.
💬 Comment “NURTURE” if this is your winter vibe.

A common winter mistake is doing less movement and expecting your body to feel better.

When it’s cold, it’s tempting to stay still and hibernate. But often this leads to more stiffness, less energy and increased discomfort.
Your body actually needs movement — just the right kind.

Here’s what helps:
• Gentle, regular Pilates sessions to keep your body mobile.
• Light walking to improve circulation.
• Stretching and breathing to reduce tension.

Movement is what keeps your body feeling warm and supported.
✨ Save this as your reminder to keep moving this winter.

Winter success isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up.

Some weeks you’ll feel energised. Other weeks you’ll feel tired and stretched. But the women who feel their best by spring are the ones who kept going — gently and consistently.

Success in winter looks like:
• Attending even when it’s cold and dark.
• Adjusting your effort based on how you feel.
• Leaving class feeling better than when you arrived.

That quiet consistency builds real strength.
