Founded in 1860, SUBC is among oldest sporting clubs in Australia. SUBC also has a strong as well as a long history.
It is known by many (throughout Australia, and the world) as The Home of Rowing. It has been the beginning of many great rowing careers at university, State, national and international level. Current club members compete at all levels of rowing from Olympic, World Championships, state and club events.

This week a group of our rowers have traveled to China to compete at the Inaugural Sino‑Australian Rowing & Dragon Boat Challenge. We’re ready for a week of learning new traditions and taking on new challenges 🐉

What a race from Harriette O’Dwyer, coxing the Mixed Beach Sprint Coxed Quad to GOLD at the Beach Sprint Nationals on the Gold Coast! 🌊🚣♀️
Coming from behind at the buoy, Harriette kept the crew composed, found another gear, and called them through to pull ahead and secure the win.
A huge effort from the whole crew — and an incredible display of composure, trust and determination when it mattered most from the cox. 💙💛

LAST TIME AT WORLD CHAMPS 🇦🇺🌏
Last time the World Championships rolled around, SUBC was proudly represented on the Australian team by Taylor Caudle, Eleanor Price, Zara Collisson, Jaime Ford, Sophie Houston, Marcus Della Marta and Emily Sheppard.
From the Women’s Pair and Eight to sculling and sweep reserves, it was a huge achievement for our athletes to be part of team Australia in Shanghai. 💙💛
