As the season comes to an end for our A Reserve Men, we just want to take a moment to acknowledge how significant this year has been. 🖤🤍

This team has been made up largely of 17, 18 and 19-year-olds who have worn the Redfern All Blacks jersey for most of their rugby league journey. Watching them now pull on the jersey in A Reserve is a monumental moment for our club.

What makes it even more special is seeing Uncle Phil Williams still standing beside them. Many people know Uncle Phil today as a coach, but what they may not know is that he coached many of these same boys from nappy grade including his son and nephews. To watch them grow from little kids running around Waterloo Oval into young men representing our club is something truly special, and you can see just how proud he is.

While the results on the scoreboard didn’t go their way this season, they highlighted and gained something far more important. They strengthened lifelong friendships, represented our community with pride, and showed what loyalty, commitment and resilience look like. Week after week they turned up for each other, for the jersey and for our community. Guided, mentored and encouraged on and off the park by a number of older heads.

These young men are the official next generation of Redfern All Blacks. They are proof that when we invest in our kids, support them through the years and keep them connected to culture and community, they grow into leaders.

We couldn’t be prouder of every one of them. A big shout out to Kalmain, Otis, Richard, Daniel, Uncle Carlo & Uncle Blackdog

The A-Reserve jersey this year honoured a player we lost after the comp finished last year. With permission from his family we carried his name on that jersey.

For our A Reserves this season wasn’t about wins and losses, it was about honouring the legacy of what the club represents, and the next generation of that legacy is only just beginning. 🖤🤍 📸Eli_photography67

🚨 RAB KOORI KNOCKOUT SUPPORTER GEAR IS HERE! 🚨

The wait is over! Our official Redfern All Blacks 🖤🤍 2026 Koori Knockout Supporter Gear is now available to purchase online. Orders close Friday 14 August 2026.

This year’s jersey is more than supporter gear—it carries a powerful story.

“Kahlinen’s Journey” honours the life of a beautiful young boy whose courage, strength and spirit continue to inspire everyone who knew and loved him.

The artwork tells the story of Kahlinen’s journey from his birth alongside his twin brother Kamahrai, through his brave fight during treatment, surrounded by the unwavering love of his family, friends and community. Every symbol reflects the people who stood beside him, reminding us that no one should ever face life’s toughest moments alone.

Flowing throughout the design is water, representing Kahlinen’s love of the water, healing, hope and the everlasting connection between his spirit, his family, his friends and his community. His totems honour his identity, culture and the enduring connection he holds with his ancestors and Country.

This jersey is more than fabric—it is a celebration of courage, culture, community and love. We are honoured to wear Kahlinen’s story with pride as we head to the 2026 Koori Knockout.

Get behind the Redfern All Blacks and secure your supporter gear today.

🖤🤍 Proudly wear the story. Proudly support the club. Proudly stand with community.
