JSPD BRAIDWOOD DOES IT AGAIN
Congratulations to Braidwood and their Instructor Mechaela in the 2026 Round 1 of NAS held at the Institute Of Sport (ASI) in Canberra yesterday. Marcus Lyons - 1st place (Gold) in forms and 2nd place (Silver) in continuous sparring, and Kito Godbee - 2nd place (Silver) in points sparring and 3rd place (Bronze) in continuous sparring. Well done Braidwood 🌟🥋

PUBLIC HOLIDAY SESSIONS.
We had a stretch session at 7am, followed by a 2 hour session at 8am. Excellent morning for both.

WSDC - CLASS OF 2026
After 3 weeks of training, these ladies got to do this yesterday for 90mins. Testing the skills they learnt on their attackers. They trained for 8 sessions within their class group with each other, not knowing that the last session would be against men they didn't know. To have the confidence in a situation as intimidating and real as we can make it, showed the character and strength that is their true spirit, and to do that in 3 weeks, an incredible sense of satisfaction and accomplishment for them. Well done class of 2026.

2026 - WSDC
With their 2nd week finished today, our 2026 WSDC girls are doing so well. Small class today, but how they have improved. This afternoon was all about learning to strike properly. Their kicking skills have improved immensely and so have their locks and take down skills. After 2 weeks, they have changed. It all happens next Saturday after 2 more sessions, when they will face up against male attackers.

2026 AUSTRALIAN SEMINAR TOUR
It’s an absolute privilege and honour for our Dojo to be the host again for the Australian and now New Zealand Benny Urquidez Seminar Tour, our biggest yet. Now in its 16th year, its become an event for the Australian martial arts community to enjoy and look forward to every October and is recognised internationally. Sensei Benny has shaped and influenced the way we train, and contributed to a deeper and more meaningful, and profound way, the values of our training for my blackbelts and students.
