Day 6 for 140 push-ups ☑️

One of the real reasons I move every day?

Did you know that regular movement is linked to 14% lower psychological distress.

Not just a fitter body. A calmer mind. A happier life.

Serotonin. Endorphins.
Sharper focus. Greater resilience 💪🏽🧠

And you don’t need a gym.

Walk the dog. 🐕
Do the gardening. 🧑‍🌾
Dance in the kitchen. 🕺🏻

Just move.

This is the coaching I care about, strength inside the gym, and out of it.

📩 DM me if you’re ready to get started.

Day 4 for 150 push-ups ☑️

150 to recognise the 1.5 million Australians who live with a mood disorder.

When most people hear the word ‘depression’, they tend to think of it as a single condition.

When in fact, mood disorders come in many forms. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is one, but so are Bipolar Disorder, Peripartum/Postpartum Depression, and Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).

With winter on the doorstep, it’s a good reminder that the colder months can affect our mental health just as much as our physical health (a good reason why Aussies go to Europe chasing the warmer climates)

Looking after your mental health is no different to looking after your body…the earlier you recognise when something isn’t quite right, the easier it is to reach out and get the right support.

Side note: Today’s 150 push-ups completed in 8 minutes - broken up 30+30+30+20+15+10+15.
Triceps were cooked 😩

120 push ups. Day 3 done ☑️

Why 120?

Because that’s roughly the minutes of REM sleep your brain needs every night to function, feel, and cope.

Skimp on REM and the research points you to being significantly at higher risk of:

- Depression (low REM is both a symptom and a driver of depression),

- Anxiety (poor REM amplifies the amygdala’s threat response, meaning everyday stressors feel more intense and harder to manage), and

- PTSD ( the brain struggles to process traumatic memories, which is why nightmares and hypervigilance persist)

Poor REM means the brain can’t properly process emotional experiences overnight, leaving us more reactive, less resilient, and more vulnerable the next day (just ask any parent with a toddler that’s teething at night)

We talk a lot about moving more.
Let’s talk about sleeping better too. 💙

Day 2 for 72 push-ups

Men often stay silent 😶

Today’s push-up target is 72 push-ups, for the 72% of men who don’t seek help when facing mental health challenges.

Many men face barriers to seeking support, including stigma, pressure to uphold stereotypes of traditional masculinity, as well as access barriers like cost and wait times.

These pressures can make it harder to speak up, even when someone knows they’re struggling or could benefit from support.

Delaying support can increase how long mental health challenges last and how intense they feel. It’s important to remember that difficult times can be easier to manage with the right help – and no one has to go through it alone.

🗣️ Start the conversation – check in with someone you trust or let a mate know how you’re really going.

🤝 Stay connected – regular connection with others can strengthen mental fitness and reduce isolation.

📞 Know your options – learn what supports are available, including low cost or free services.

Lifeline (13 11 14) can be a helpful first step when things feel tough.

I borrowed this question for my weekly check-in form from another incredible coach (shout out to ), and it’s been an absolute winner 🏆

Not every week comes with a comment.
Sometimes it’s left blank. That’s perfectly fine.

But every now and then, something lands in that box that reminds me why coaching is about so much more than training programs and nutrition plans.

It gives clients a runway to share thoughts, wins, struggles, observations, concerns, or simply things they haven’t found a place to say elsewhere.

Sometimes the most valuable part of a check-in isn’t the weight, the steps, or the calories.

It’s the conversation.

The more I coach, the more convinced I become that people don’t just need a plan.

They need to feel heard.

And sometimes all it takes is an empty box and an invitation to use it.

Data tells me what’s happening.
Conversations tell me why.👌

11 years.

Thousands of hours on the gym floor.
Hundreds of connections made.
So many meaningful conversations.

Truly a lifetime packed and bundled into one gym floor.

Today closes one chapter at 💚 Club Lime…but not the purpose behind it.

Grateful for every client, every lesson, every season.

Next stop.
Same same…But different 🖤❤️

18/05/2026

Confession time: I’ve lost count of the amount of reps a client has done…more often than not…

Not because I can’t count - but because my attention is preoccupied with how a client is moving themselves and the weight.

So yeah, not sorry for busting out “just do a couple more” 😑when asked “How many’s that??” 😫

I’m doing 3,307 push-ups in 24 days as part of The Push-Up Challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health in Australia.

This target represents the 3,307 people who died by su***de in Australia in 2024 (the most recent stats).

You can push for better mental health too by donating to my fundraising page and supporting this important cause (check the link in my bio)

Funds raised will go to The ‘The Push For Better Foundation’ to support much-needed mental health services and initiatives in Australia.

Any donation, big or small, is really appreciated! 🙏🏽
