Thereโ€™s something special about witnessing a team win four grand finals in a row. For my beloved NRL team, the Penrith Panthers, itโ€™s clear their success is about far more than skill or โ€˜the systemโ€™โ€”itโ€™s the culture theyโ€™ve built, family-oriented in every sense of the word.

The energy was palpable at Sundayโ€™s grand final. Whether we were on the attack or defending our line, ahead or behind, our supporters were loud, passionate, and unwavering. The belief didnโ€™t falter based on the scoreboardโ€”it was rooted in the teamโ€™s strength and the connections theyโ€™ve built with each other, their loved ones, and the broader community.

But unfortunately, like moths to a flame, success attracts critics. Social media was quickly swamped with claims that the referees were biased, that the win was predetermined, riggedโ€”Tall Poppy Syndrome at its finest.

Is it any wonder that the opinions of others are one of the greatest thieves of dreams?

But as they say, actions speak louder than words, and something magical happens when you recognise your purpose is far greater than yourselfโ€”in that moment, you rise above the noise.

This Panthers team has faced player losses year on year due to the salary cap and will once again part ways with more stalwarts after this season. But resentment? There is none. The motto is simple: โ€˜Once a Panther, always a Panther.โ€™ Interviewed afterward, the playersโ€™ messages were consistent: they just wanted to send their mates off as they deservedโ€”with pride, respect, and as part of the family.

But something else stood out on Sunday. It wasnโ€™t just the clinical display of executing the โ€˜game planโ€™ or the ridiculous level of skill. It was ๐˜๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜. It was ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜†๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜๐˜†. It was on the field and in the stands.

This game heralded a dynasty but also bucked current trendsโ€”the team stood tall, united. No blame game and no fickle โ€˜fair-weatherโ€™ fans. This unwavering support through both the highs and the lows is what really makes the difference. True supporters stand by their team when they need it most, not just in the moments of victory. (Just listen to the video).

Sundayโ€™s game also reinforced the power of immersion. Watching from the sidelines or on TV doesnโ€™t compare to being surrounded by thousands of fans, experiencing every moment together. Itโ€™s not just a gameโ€”itโ€™s about creating memories with those you love, in an atmosphere where every cheer, every chant, and every moment is shared. Those are the moments that last long after the final whistle is blown.

The lessons? There are many.

The importance of culture. The impact of a coach. Trust. Belief. Loyalty.

Success isnโ€™t about a single win. Itโ€™s about what is sustained over timeโ€”through highs, lows, and even criticism. When youโ€™ve built something strong, like this team has, the outside voices donโ€™t matter. Itโ€™s YOUR inner voice, your desires and resolve that counts.

And sharing it with those you love...makes it all the more sweeter. ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›โค๏ธ

Doors have always held significance for meโ€”they represent transitions, the choices we make, the strength to guard what matters, and also the gateway to opportunities.

On my recent trip to the UK, I stood in front of the Kingโ€™s Gallery door at Holyrood Palace, a huge but gorgeous ornate door embellished with a gold lion standing guard over Edinburgh. In that moment I was reminded of my own journey - the times I was strong, the times I was courageous, the times I was fiercely protective, and even the times I needed to step back to protect my own energy๐Ÿ”ฅ.

But that is only part of this door's story.

Months before my trip to Scotland, I randomly chose an image of an ornate door for my Facebook cover photo. It wasnโ€™t until I stood in front of it in person that I remembered - sometimes, the symbols and signs in our lives are with us long before we fully recognise their meaning ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป.

That trip, which coincided with the Lionsgate portal has left me feeling deeply connected to my fatherโ€™s heritage, to my family, and to my own personal transformation โ™พ๏ธ.

Since coming home Iโ€™ve taken time out to heal from shoulder surgery and reflect on my own transitions, not one singular moment in time but the continuum. In doing so Iโ€™ve come to realise that In life sometimes the most powerful action is knowing when to pause, because even taking a step back can be the much needed conscious decision.

Itโ€™s not about hidingโ€”itโ€™s about finding the clarity and conviction to take the next step. No guilt and certainly no apologies needed.

As the great Rumi once said 'The wound is the place where the light enters you.โ€™

How about you? Have you felt those moments where lifeโ€™s signs reveal themselves in unexpected ways? Iโ€™d love to hear your story.

Much love x

โš ๏ธ A POST YOU MAY NOT BE EXPECTING

I am about to pour my โค๏ธ into this post so bear with me please...

Adrian and I woke up just after 4 this morning to a myriad of alerts on Facebook. A group we are in was posting of the "man overboard" alarm sounding on Pacific Adventure, the ship we have called home for all my cruising speaking gigs ๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ.

We have personally met the ships executive staff, including the current and much loved Captain, and over time watched other staff come and go as their contract came to an end or were transferred to a sister ship.

The staff could not do more for you, were incredibly professional and always had a smile on their face ~ even when being yelled at by unhappy passengers who mistakingly thought they were getting on some Royal Yacht. ๐Ÿ‘‘

So what's the point of this post you ask?

In the same thread in the group chat we had people complaining they would miss their bus, those waiting to board complaining the ship was late, complaints about towels, complaints the ship had been delayed the day before for a helicopter medi-vac ~ complaint after complaint after complaint...

Complaints about being inconvenienced whilst a crew was doing everything they could to find the man.

'Inconvenienced' whilst a family was panic stricken only later to be overcome by grief ๐Ÿ˜ข

Is that really how selfish and desensitised we have become? ๐Ÿฅน

If news over the last few weeks of endless family tragedies hasn't jolted you, what will my friend ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ?

~ women shopping on a Saturday afternoon ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

You hear time and time again "life's too short", "live without regret", "tomorrow is never promised" but what are you doing about it, honestly?

๐Ÿ’›Tell the people you love how much you love them and as often as you can. Stop discounting how much they mean to you with a "but they know I do!"

๐Ÿ’›Stop putting off what you truly want to that "One
day".

๐Ÿ’›If you don't like your job, then change it or find something in it you do love.

๐Ÿ’›If you're not happy in your relationship tell them and then if it can't be fixed, move on.

๐Ÿ’›You always wanted to see ... then book it in!

๐Ÿ’› You want to reconnect with or apologise to ... then pick up the phone๐Ÿ“ฑ

๐Ÿ’›Remember what is in your control and what is not ~ your reaction always is and happiness is an inside job ๐Ÿ˜

This is a timely reminder for us all to stop blaming everyone else for where we are in life and redirect that time to creating the one we want.

Be kind to yourself, and others, as you never know what is going on in someone else's life โค๏ธ

My rant is over but for those of you still reading you should know me, and that this comes with the purest of intentions and love.

If on the other hand I have offended, tell me or unfollow, for that is also your choice.

Much love # # #

๐—ข๐—ก ๐—ง๐—›๐—œ๐—ฆ ๐——๐—”๐—ฌ ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿณ ๐—ฌ๐—˜๐—”๐—ฅ๐—ฆ ๐—”๐—š๐—ข my world was turned upside down ๐Ÿ’”. Yet, it's only looking back now I see what a profound impact that day continues to have, and not only on me ...๐Ÿ”ฅ

On 9 January 1987, adulthood stared me right in the face.

~ One week before leaving my family to move interstate.

~ One week before pledging service to the Queen and my country.

~ One week to total accountability and having to back myself.

~ One week to being completely and utterly out of my comfort zone.

It felt such a reach for that shy, petite, Year 12 girl, dressed in a taffeta dress, looking up at me from the photo on the counter.

"The one thing that can never be taken off your child is their education" adage resonated in my ears as Dad paid for the camera and THAT graduation photo.

Walking back to the car we joked until we didn't...slowing down for Dad to pop an oh too familiar angina tablet under his tongue.

To this very day his words "I can't go yet, I still need to walk you down the aisle" whisper to me in the middle of the night, comfort drawn from that last "I love you" ๐Ÿฅฐ.

All the plans, the "one day's" Mum and Dad had, WE had, vapourised within minutes.

"๐˜“๐˜ช๐˜ง๐˜ฆ'๐˜ด ๐˜ต๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ๐˜ต..." Mum trembled.

Words spoken often, a # , but embodiment of the message behind the message, is where the true power lies ๐Ÿ”ฅ.

And so today on the 37th anniversary of the first 'hardest day of my life', I raise a glass to you Dad ๐Ÿฅƒ.

For the woman you made me, the belief you always had in me, your love, your zest for life, your kindness, your sense of humour and for opening my eyes to what truly matters in life.

Your legacy burns ever bright ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ, and I am one very proud messenger โ™พ๏ธ

Life's too short, live without regret ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป ๐ŸŒŸ
