Fossicking for golden moments Sunday 26th April. Rejoov team digging deep in the Mara & Half!! One of the many race highlights was Matty Morris 2:58 with a 9min pb off last years Ballarat Marathon! He shook hands on a bet that if he didn’t go sub 3:05 he would’ve had to jump off the nearby Calembeen 10m dive tower. Other highlights including .gabriel.5661 2:51 (wanted to beat last years 2:49, but still 2nd fastest time) 6th in age group; Hawn 3:05 pb by 5mins; GretaπŸ₯ˆage group (the over 40s age groups recognised for the Marathon Majors Age Group World Champs); Christian pb; DanS 8min pb; DanDR (2nd fastest time); 9min pb; Danelle pb; debut; half marathon 91min pb; 82:21 pb; 82:36 fastest time in years and many other gutsy runs!! Interesting the gold mining history, association with Melb 1956 Olympics, cheering the Aus road mile, sharing meals, and running Lake Wendouree 6k loop, home of the 20min Mona-Fartlek. Mona back in the day could do his 20min in 7.2km!! The same day astonishingly in London Marathon 2 men ran sub 2hr for the first time!! Mona said that his Berlin Marathon win 2:08 back in 1990 wouldn’t have made top 100 in London!!

Jaw-dropping London 2026 Marathon Major, with not one but TWO runners under 2hrs!! The energy was unreal, and Rejoov Runners were right in the thick of it, soaking up every second while putting down some incredible performances of their own.

Jess Hurley has had an amazing year so far, topping things off with a huge 44minute PB in 3:05:17 being cheered by her friends with pom poms!! dug deep and got it done in style, sprinting to a sub-3 finish in 2:59:53. 14th marathon (3:08 - injured) & second time London since his debut marathon there 12yrs ago. He already had his 6 star medal (and pb 2:42) but thrilled to do London again. Also special shout out to expat who ran 2:45:03 in London (video by ), which is 4mins quicker than Ballarat Marathon a year ago. Another expat Kyle Jackson also had a great run!! Chelsey powered through to earn her 2nd star and looking forward to Sydney Marathon. gave it everything she had for her second marathon and 1st star. Laurence fought hard and added a second star to the collection. so happy to make the start and the finish, her loudest marathon number five and second star!!

Big stages, big goals, and even bigger achievementsβ€”this was one for the books.
