Enormous lead up and day for Rejoov with 66 runners in the TCS Sydney Marathon 2026 earning their Major Star (plus more in the 5km the day before). The marathon had >36,000 finishers (>3,000 more than last year’s first Sydney Major) and very loud crowds round the course, deafening in parts! On a tough hilly course Rejoov still had 28 pbs and only 1 dnf. Most happy with their runs. If anyone had a tough day, take heart that you were a part of a very WILD experience, you had a go and look forward to the next thing. Awesome to unwind at the official Partner Run Club after party at Jackson’s on George 🍻🍻πŸ₯‚πŸ₯‚

Thanks all Rejoov supporters, volunteersπŸ’œ & ploggers >> we had a big clean up round Centennial Park πŸ’š

Rejoov x TCS Sydney Marathon TAPER TIPS:
1. 🧠 Distract yourself so that you’re not getting β€œtoo” nervous and overthinking things. Allow some time to plan & visualise but other than that keep your mind on other things.

2. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ Reduce all training including gym (Easy run Mon or Wed 5-6k, Rejoov run session Tuesday, easy run Thursday 5-6k incl strides, Rejoov x Hoka House city shake out 5-6k Friday with G & CT ( or 7am Saturday homestead with Yury).

3. πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Fueling properly everyday even if you have a loss of appetite due to nerves, keep tracking that you’re eating and hydrating properly.

4. 🍌 Carb loading Friday & Saturday, avoid high fibre to avoid pooπŸ’© stops during your event. It will seem like a lot but also be careful not to over-carb load which can cause gastric upset.

5. πŸ’§ Hydrating with plenty of water & electrolytes. Remember to use products that you’ve been using in your training block. Every block needs specific conditioning including the guts.

6. 🫡🏼 Don’t give up on yourself even if you haven’t had the ideal block. Still do all the taper things. Adjust your goals, keep these realistic. Be positive & proud of your efforts. Strive, aspire & no matter what, be a good sport, your team will love you πŸ’›

7. πŸ’€ Bank early nights all week especially 2 nights before in case you don’t sleep much the night before.

The mountainous UTMB Eiger 100km in Switzerland, congrats Jimmy in 21hrs27mins!! He felt really good up until 80km then 6500+ of elevation took its toll, slowing down but he rang that bell at the finishline! WOW the scenes!!! Beautiful, stunning and challenging. Epic support crew & family. Jimmy has a go at everything from 5k to 100miles (Kosci end of last year). He got his 2:38 marathon in Chicago last year after a GC dnf. He’s done a back yard, now the most mountainous 100km. Living life to the full, we’re on the edge of our seats!!
