You don’t need endless workouts.

You need the right foundations.

Strength to help maintain muscle and keep your body strong.

Impact to support your bones.

Balance and mobility so you can keep moving well and confidently.

These are the things I want women thinking about when they plan their week, because they all play a different role in helping us stay strong, capable and moving well.

And this is exactly how I coach.

Strength. Impact. Balance. Mobility.

These are the foundations I build into every class and programme.

Which one do you think you need to prioritise more right now?

Accountability can be the difference between knowing what to do and actually doing it consistently.

Anita lost 5.5kg and over 50cm in just 12 weeks.

And…. I can’t wait to see how much more progress she makes by the end of her 20-week programme.

But that’s not the part of her story I’m most proud of.

The biggest win?

She stopped starting over.

Because that’s what I see so often with women.

They know what to do.

They’ve read the books.
They’ve tried the plans.
They’ve joined the programmes.

The problem isn’t a lack of information.

It’s trying to do everything alone, then blaming themselves when life gets busy and consistency disappears.

That’s why accountability matters.

Since joining the Power Pause Method, Anita has not only lost 5.5kg and over 50cm.

She’s built routines she can maintain.
She feels stronger.
More confident.
More motivated.
And most importantly, she now has a plan she can actually keep coming back to.

Here’s what she had to say:

“I started training with Lindsey on a casual pack and loved the support and encouragement. I then joined the Power Pause Method and have never looked back.

The accountability, guidance and regular check-ins have helped me stay consistent. I feel stronger, more confident and more motivated than I have in years.

What I love most is that it doesn’t feel restrictive. Lindsey meets you where you’re at and helps you build habits that fit your life.

If you’re feeling stuck, lacking motivation or struggling to stay consistent on your own, I couldn’t recommend her enough.”

This is what lasting change looks like.

Not perfection.

Not another quick fix.

The right plan, the right support and enough consistency to finally see what happens when you stop giving up on yourself.

The Power Pause Method can be completed online or face-to-face.

If you’re ready for more support but you’re not sure whether Strong Foundations or the Power Pause Method is the right fit, comment SUPPORT or send me a message.

I’ll help you work out the best place to start.

If you’re taking a GLP-1, we need to talk about muscle.

GLP-1 medications can be incredibly helpful for some women, and this isn’t about telling anyone whether they should or shouldn’t take them.

But if weight loss is the goal, the number on the scales isn’t the only thing we need to think about.

We need to protect your muscle too.

Muscle supports your strength, metabolism, insulin sensitivity, bone health and your ability to stay strong and independent as you get older.

So if you’re using a GLP-1, I want you thinking about:

Strength training.

Eating enough protein.

Preserving as much muscle as possible while you lose weight.

Because the goal isn’t just weight loss.

It’s losing weight without losing the strength you’ll need for the decades ahead.

Whatever route you choose, make sure you’re supporting the body you want to live in long term.

And…. if you’re wondering where to start with strength training, this is exactly the kind of work we do inside Strong Foundations.

My next round will be opening soon. If you’d like me to send you the details when they’re ready, comment STRONG below or send me a message.

Want stronger bones? Don’t forget impact.

Here’s a quick impact + balance session you can add to your week:

1. Skater + Stick
6–8 each side
Move laterally, land on one leg and hold your balance before changing sides.
2. Sit to Stand + Stomp/Jump
10 reps
Start seated, stand and finish with a strong stomp.
Progression: add a small jump with a controlled landing.
3. Single-Leg Hops
8–10 each leg
Small controlled hops with a stable landing.
Option: hold a single-leg balance if hopping isn’t appropriate.
4. Forward + Backward Jumps
6–8 in each direction
Jump forward and backward, focusing on a controlled landing each time.

Repeat 2–3 rounds.

Impact should always be appropriate for your body and your starting point.

Save this one and add a little impact to your week.

As we move through menopause and beyond, working harder isn’t always the answer.

Sometimes it’s about changing what we prioritise.

Strength. Protein and fibre. Recovery. Impact. Balance. Mobility. Cardiovascular and metabolic health.

These aren’t just things to think about when something goes wrong. They’re the foundations that help us stay strong, capable and healthy for the decades ahead.

So before adding another workout or cutting back on food, take a look at what you’re already doing.

Are you giving your body what it actually needs now?

What do you think you need to prioritise more?

Sometimes the hardest thing isn’t starting something new.

It’s being willing to admit that what you’ve been doing isn’t working anymore.

We can get so attached to doing things the way we’ve always done them.

The same exercise.

The same eating habits.

The same routines.

The same promises to ourselves that “this time I’ll try harder.”

But sometimes trying harder isn’t the answer.

Sometimes we need to stop, look at what’s actually working and what isn’t, and be willing to change our approach.

That’s something I’ve become even more aware of as I’ve got older, both personally and through coaching women for so many years.

Our bodies change. Our lives change. Our priorities change.

And what supported us 10 or 20 years ago might not be what supports us now.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with changing direction when you have better information.

In fact, I’d say that’s one of the smartest things you can do.

You don’t always need to try harder. Sometimes you need to do things differently.

What’s one thing you’ve realised you need to do differently?

✨ The words you choose shape the woman you become.

One phrase I realised I was repeating more often than I wanted was…

“I’m not sure.”

Those three little words leave the door open for hesitation.

So I decided to replace them with…

“I’ve decided.”

I’ve decided to create Strong Foundations.

I’ve decided to build The Power Pause Method.

I’ve decided to become more visible.

I’ve decided to step into workshops because I know I have the knowledge and experience to genuinely help more women.

I didn’t wait until everything felt perfect.

I made a decision.

And I backed that decision with action.

Because that’s how progress is made.

💬 What words are you choosing today? 💚

It’s an opportunity to build the strength, confidence and healthy habits that will support you for the decades ahead.

That’s why I’m so passionate about helping women navigate menopause and beyond.

Because it’s never just about getting through menopause.

It’s about thriving well beyond it.

Every exercise in this workout has been chosen with purpose.

It’s easy to copy random workouts from social media, but the real question is…

Why are you doing each exercise?

Every movement should have a reason.

Whether it’s building strength, developing power or helping you move better in everyday life, your workouts should be intentional.

I believe in training smarter, not just harder.

Because when you understand why you’re doing something, you’re much more likely to stay consistent and see the results you’re looking for.

Workout

Block 1 (3 rounds)

• Goblet Squat × 8–10 reps
• Thruster × 8–10 reps

Block 2 (3 rounds)

• Chest Press × 8–10 reps
• Gorilla Row × 8–10 reps each side

Finisher (3 rounds)

• Dumbbell Swings × 15–20 reps (or use a kettlebell if you have one)
• Farmer’s Carry × 30–45 seconds

💚 Save this workout and remember… every exercise has been chosen with purpose. Train for the future you want and the body that will support it.

The biggest mistake isn’t that women over 40 aren’t exercising.

It’s that we’re often doing workouts without knowing why we’re doing them.

Every type of exercise has a purpose. When you understand what your body actually needs in midlife, everything starts to make more sense.

Train with intention. Your future self will thank you.

After watching this, what do you think your body might be missing the most… strength, impact, balance or mobility? I’d love to hear your thoughts below.
