The biggest mistake women make in menopause isn’t what they eat.
It’s believing weight loss should be the only goal.
For many women, menopause is the moment they realise the strategies that once worked no longer do.
Train harder.
Eat less.
Push through.
Rely on willpower.
For years, those approaches may have seemed like the answer.
But menopause often requires something different—not because you’ve failed or because you’re getting older, but because your body is changing.
After coaching women for more than 30 years and experiencing my own menopause transition, I’ve learned that lasting results rarely come from knowing more.
They come from consistently showing up.
Building strength.
Prioritising protein.
Supporting recovery.
Developing a resilient mindset.
And understanding that progress doesn’t require perfection.
That’s why I created the Power Pause Method.
Not another meal plan, challenge, or quick fix.
A framework designed specifically for women in menopause to help them build strength, improve nutrition, prioritise recovery, and create sustainable habits.
Because lasting results don’t come from doing everything perfectly.
They come from doing the right things consistently.
If you’re tired of starting over every Monday and ready for a different approach, send me the word POWER and let’s have a conversation.

Most women expect the body changes that can come with the menopause transition.
What many don’t expect is what happens to their skin.
The conversations I hear over and over sound like this:
“My skin doesn’t look like it used to.”
“Where has this pigmentation come from?”
“I’ve suddenly developed melasma.”
“My skin feels dry all the time.”
“I’ve lost my glow.”
“Nothing seems to be working anymore.”
At 59, I understand these conversations because I’ve experienced some of these changes myself.
And while many women choose injectables, I have personally chosen not to.
Instead, I focus on supporting my skin the same way I support my body.
Strength training.
Protein.
Gut health.
Sleep.
Stress management.
And a consistent skincare routine.
Because the goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is healthy skin.
The goal is confidence.
The goal is feeling comfortable in your own skin and recognising the woman looking back at you in the mirror.
If pigmentation, melasma, dryness or loss of firmness has become part of your menopause story, send me a message with the word SKIN and let’s chat about what has been working for me and many other women.

Most women have spent decades investing in the wrong goal.
Smaller.
Smaller clothes.
Smaller numbers.
Smaller bodies.
And while they’ve been busy trying to lose weight, they’ve often been losing something far more valuable.
Strength.
The very thing that supports your metabolism.
Protects your bones.
Keeps you independent.
Helps you stay capable as you age.
Nobody gets to 70 and says,
“I wish I’d spent more time trying to weigh less.”
But many wish they had started building strength sooner.
Because strength isn’t about looking younger.
It’s about having choices.
The choice to travel.
The choice to stay active.
The choice to get down on the floor and back up again.
The choice to keep doing the things you love.
Strength is the investment that pays you back for life.
What are you investing in today?

Most women don’t need another diet.
They need to realise that weight loss and health are not the same thing.
During the menopause transition, women can lose muscle, strength and bone if they don’t actively do something to maintain them.
Yet many women are still chasing weight loss as though it is the ultimate measure of health.
While muscle, strength and bone continue to decline in the background.
The scales might move.
But at what cost?
Because the things that will matter most in the decades ahead are not a dress size.
They are:
Strength.
Muscle.
Balance.
Bone health.
Confidence.
Independence.
No one talks about the woman who struggles to lift her suitcase into the overhead locker.
The woman who stops travelling because she no longer feels physically capable.
The woman who worries about falling.
The woman who avoids getting down on the floor because she’s not sure she can get back up.
The woman who gradually starts making her world smaller because her body no longer supports the life she wants to live.
This is about preserving the freedom to live life on your terms.
To travel.
To play with grandchildren.
To carry your own shopping.
To move through life with confidence.
Because strength is not vanity.
It’s freedom.
And the earlier you start building it, the more of that freedom you get to keep.
The choices you make today shape the options available to you tomorrow.
That is why strength sits at the centre of everything I teach.
