Race 2 of Round 5 of the HQ Racing NSW state championship this morning was an unfortnate one for Command Race Team Command Digital Signage number 1 Chris Molle after a great start running a close 2nd the coil failed and brought his race to an abrupt end. Jason made some setup changes that unfortunately induced some understeer, but had a classic battle with young Ashton Parker swapping 4th and 5th positions multiple times across the race in a very hard fought battle! He's a young superstar this guy, raced very hard but clean and is someone to watch out for in the coming years!
Jason just pipped him in the end for 4th.
On to the last race for Command Race Team this afternoon, where we say good bye for now to HQ Racing.
As always thanks go to our sponsors Command Digital Signage, Navori Labs and HOYTS Australia.

Command Race Team are here at Sydney Motorsport Park for the final round of the HQ Racing NSW state championship.
Qualifying this morning was shortened with an engine failure on the straight bringing out the red flag. Chris Molle qualified 2nd with a quick fire 1:58. Jason was lucky to qualify 6th banking an early lap with a tuning issue, but once fixed red flagged stopped any further progress.
Race 1 to come in a couple of hours.
With the team and myself personally looking to have a break from racing for the forseeable future, we are all looking forward to a good strong weekend to finish.

Command Race Team are at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend for the HSRCA Historics race meeting incorporating round 2 of the NSW HQ Holden Championship.
23 and 32 qualified 6th and 7th respectively, and with a great start in race 1 Chris Molle finished 3rd, myself dropping to 8th with diff issues.
Race 2 this morning saw the opposite, with myself getting a great start, moving to 3rd before dropping to 4th after a cracking battle with Jarrod Harber, Chris got back to 4th after dropping the start, but rear grip wasn't great and dropped to 6th after a mistake at turn 3.
Race 3 starts shortly.

While we are still having fun, the on track stuff has been less than average so far compared to our self set standards.
Race 2 I once again got a start but very quickly worked out our changes went backwards and ran a lonely 6th.
Chris had a "yeehar" moment at turn 1, finding the grate after running deep and 2 wheeling it the wrong way. Still managed to get back to 7th.
Back to the drawing board for the next one!

Race 1 yesterday was not to plan, both cars are fast, but not connected to the track. Hopefully some changes overnight will help.
I got a good start, moved into p3 from 6th, but couldn't hold it there and dropped back to 6th after locking the rears and falling off.
Chris moved up 1 place to p7.
Live stream is on again today from 11:20pm for race 2 and 3:50pm for race 3 on BLEND LINE TV youtube channel.
We'll be aiming to put on a better show for our sponsors Command Digital Signage Navori Labs and HOYTS Australia.

Bathurst bites.
Chris got caught up in qualy with a spinning car at Forrest Elbow.
I had a car in front blow an engine in front of me on the straight, watched 2 cars spinning in front at 150k and hour while avoiding. Thankfully got through!
It's been an action packed day so far!
