We wait for news on trials and retentions.
We are fortunate to have sufficient points to remain in the NPL 1 league.
Now we wait for lockdown to end.

Back at training after a short school holiday break.

At the U14 State Titles watching our lads, past and present, play against each other.
Jamal and Tino (Far North) unfortunately lost 1-2. Frank (Met South) drew with Met East 1-1.
Jacob, Cam, Callum and Jerry (Met West) won 3-2 against Riverina after going behind on the first half 1-2.

We enjoyed yesterday's 2-2 draw against the Sharks with some great counter attack, two quality assists from Darcy and Riley for our goals and polished finishing by Jacob and CJ. Well played to all boys.
It also marked our 3rd MVP series (Rds 13-18). We had 2 wins, 3 draws and a single loss during this period.
Our top voted player was Frank with Callum a close runner up. Cam, Jerry, Ryan, Jacob, and Riley also scored highly.
The video shows one of our corners that leads to a great shot on goal by Jake. Plenty of communication can be heard between the lads as well. 👍⚽️

Very disappointed lads coming off after losing 1-0 vs Parra FC in the split postponed match. We had them by the throat, camped in attack for most of the last half, with seven shots at goal - more on target than not.
Our MVP was Ryan with Darcy and Callum next.

Playing Marconi at their stadium. The final score wasn't good but it took the ladder leaders 40 mins to get their first goal. Well played by the boys up to then. We were a bit down when they scored and their goals came a bit easier.
MVPs Callum and Ryan with Frank close behind. Darcy and CJ also in the voting this week. Congrats lads.

A solid win today. 1-0 over the Wolves. The 1st half was scrappy but the half time talk focussed the boys' energy just right in the second half.
Ten minutes in, Daniel told CJ and Darcy to go on with the instructions to play off Jacob. CJ to go wide, Darcy to come in and grab a header off CJ.
One minute later that scenario played out exactly with Darcy's glorious header off CJ's cross from Jacob's pass giving us the lead. Tactical genius.
MVPs were Jerry, Frank followed by Cam and Jacob. Many of the other boys earned points as well.

A fun night at alternate training on Monday. We welcomed Jorja and Dempsey from SAP, Nick's brother, Peter and Liam's twin Ethan from other clubs.
All of our U14s boys worked very hard as did our visitors in the futsal court and then in the resistance pool.
Everyone appeared to enjoy being a part of the night's training. I hope we can do it again soon.

A great start with an early goal looked promising. But some indifferent play throughout led to an equaliser in the second last minute. 1-1 draw really flattered the opponents.
