We would like to congratulate Anne-Marie Phippard and her awesome safeguarding team at Sport Integrity Australia.

Please share this Child Safeguarding in Sport induction course with your networks and lets work together to ensure all children experience a positive healthily and safe sporting experience.

Launched on the back of the Federal Government’s National Strategy to Prevent and Respond to Child Sexual Abuse (2021-2030), Phippard says the course will assist learners to understand and implement the Child Safeguarding Policy.

By the end of the course, users will be able to:

-understand what the Child Safeguarding Policy is, who it applies to and when
-understand the role of 14 Child Safe Practices in the Policy
-understand the recruitment and screening requirements

Science shows that those with an optimistic outlook have better cardiovascular health and a stronger immune system, earn a higher income and have more successful relationships.

Optimists do acknowledge negative events, but they are more likely to avoid blaming themselves for the bad outcome, they are inclined to view a negative situation as a temporary one and likely to expect further positive events in the future.

Tips for a day of Optimism:

- Try having a day off social media and watching the news.
- Spend your day with positive people, minimise interactions with those that have a negative outlook.
- When a negative thought enters your mind, try and turn the negative into a positive. The more you practice this the easier it will become.
- Try view every experience you have today with an optimistic outlook.

Welcome to Week 3 of the Wellbeing Playbook - Be Yourself

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to those who have now completed 14 of the 28 days of Wellbeing Playbook activities. We’re now at the halfway mark and this week is all about being the “real you.”

As you start the week, Day #15’s activity “Be the Authentic You” asks you to think about your values & make a list of the 3 things you can do to be more aligned with who you really are as a person.

It might not be big things that you identify – it could be as simple as saying “I’ll speak up more often” or “I’ll spend more time with my family”.

We hope today’s activity reminds you about the ways you can act in a way that is more consistent with your values as we know that when people act in an authentic way, they are more satisfied in life and enjoy higher levels of wellbeing.
