Without trunk stability, the movement intended for your hips is often redirected into the lumbar spine - reducing your glutes’ ability to fully engage.
In short: want the peach? You need stability. 🍑
Add these drills into your next glute session and focus on these three key points to get the most out of every rep:
1. Stabilise the pelvis - keep it level and aligned throughout each movement.
2. Maintain rib-to-hip connection - especially in squat patterns (as shown here in side-lying), so your hips can move through their full range.
3. Control hip rotation - avoid shearing through the pelvis to maximise true hip joint ROM and better target the glutes.
