South East Eagles FC

first affiliated with the Southern and Eastern Association by entering an under 16's team in the 1979 season. Through the dedication and efforts of Mr. Con Pavlou President of the Parish Sports Committee, 1980 saw SSSC fully enter the association fielding four teams from under 10-14 years. Although not as experienced as most other clubs in the association, our teams performed with moderate success with the under 12's and 14's winning the Serderon Knockout Cup and finishing second and third in their respective competitions. The 1980 season saw the club field six teams in the association and the Greek afternoon school team's competition was discontinued. During the 1980's the club continued to grow and in the mid eighties saw some of its best years when up to six teams won their respective competitions and went on to represent the association in the champion of champions. In 2007, the club saw the need to expand in order to be viable in the Eastern Suburbs Football Association, thus affiliating with Sydney Olympic Football Club and hence the name change to Olympic Eagles Football Club. Heading into it's 40th year and in an ever-changing environment, the club felt the need to adjust to the changing diversity of the area and elected to represent the South East Sydney area by changing the club name to South East Eagles FC. The double headed Eagle remained as the clubs logo identity as it has for the past 40 years.
