Wolli Creek from Waterworth Park
Passive green recreational spaces in Sydney are few and far between. It is vitally important we maintain our open green spaces.
In 2015 Canterbury Council built a large playground in Gough Whitlam Park, Earlwood right next to a billabong with no community consultation whatsoever. To make way for this playground 9 mature Casuarina trees were removed. A playground could have been built away from this precious environment and there is a real threat to bird life and native animals being scared off by the activity of the flying
